Just not this year, unfortunately.

Eason goes 13 for 13 for 292 yards with 3 TDs

Unless the coaches are insane Eason will start in 2016. Josh Rosen is proving that a true freshman QB can be great if he has the talent. Eason has the talent.

I'm watching my DVR now. So far on Lambert:

first pass: 5 yard hitch directly up the center to chubb. Perfectly fine pass that hit chubb square in the hands and was simply dropped

second pass: made the correct read on a crossing route to jeb, just didn't make a good enough pass

So far 0/2 but nothing I would say is terrible. I can't remember his other 3 passes in the first half. Will update as they come.

eta:

3rd pass: correct read on an out to godwin. About 6 inches too far, it hit godwins outstretched hand but was a bit too leading.

Watch Lambert's footwork closely throughout the game and you will see the problem.

I think the QB dropbacks are too short. Lambert seem to be right on top of defenders resulting in nervous footwork and tipped passes.

No updates in the last half hour... you getting to the seriously scary and shitty part of Lambert's "performance" ?

I was at the stadium and with every pass I couldn't help but think "My god, there are women and children here seeing this."

Very stoked about Eason. Hope he transitions well to college play.

For kicks and giggles, I looked up the 2013 stats that Murray put up against Vandy:

Aaron Murray: 2013
C/ATT----YDS----AVG----TD----INT----QBR
16/28-----114------4.1-------0-----1---------64.9

Greyson Lambert: 2015
C/ATT----YDS----AVG----TD----INT----QBR
11/21-----116------5.5-------0-----0---------47.3

Murray in his final season was only marginally better than Lambert (in his second start with UGA) against Vandy on their home turf.

I'm not willing to throw in the towel on Lambert just yet, but I was disappointed by what I saw yesterday. I just hope he improves against USCe.

Just for the sake of having more information, here is the supporting cast Murray had in 2013:

And here is what Lambert had yesterday:

Not saying Lambert will end up being good or bad. Just saying you can't draw comparisons between him and Murray based on their trips to Nashville.

what I don't get about Lambo is that he bails even when the pocket is strong. He hardly had pressure and still left the pocket. I feel like he thinks he is still behind Virginia's offensive line.

And Vandy was a 9-win team in 2013.

This year's Vandy lost to Western Kentucky, and will probably not make a bowl game.

Obviously two different teams and more variables than can be counted but it's a comparison made to point out that it's not the end of the world.

Also, Vandys defense isn't as bad as usual this year.

Fair enough and I definitely agree with that.

Yea, I said before the game that it would be a frustrating game because of their defense. It was just frustrating in a different way than what I expected. But Mason has done a great job with their defense this year, they wouldn't be too bad if their QB didn't make such horrible decisions.

He can hand the ball off to Chubb, so that's positive.

This. He finally started stepping into throws in the 4th quarter and the results were much better. He cant continue to get antsy/scared/ whatever in the beginning of games. Has to trust the OL and deliver the throw with confidence.

It takes amazing arm strength to throw the ball with one or both feet off the ground?
