Yeah it's bullshite the Kirby is getting more control than CMR had...but McGarity now owns this so he's all in for success. That's life in the big city. Also given all the political clout Richt has I still believe that if he'd have bowed up (the way Pruitt did for the IPF) he could've gotten all the control he wanted.

With Rocker staying if we keep Pruitt its a home run because we'll be unstoppable at recruiting. I mean dominant. And who knows what Bama recruits are now on the table.

If we get a quality OC too it'll be a fricking grand slam.

frick YEAH!!!

Smart doesn't thrill me as a HC choice, but he doesn't have to. I just wanted to see a plan where they had a top replacement in mind, didn't frick around, and landed the top replacement.

Seems like it was Smart and they landed him. So good on 'em.

This will keep our recruiting momentum going (and yes, we land Eason so relax). That's good enough for me for now.

That is something you will have to ask the AD office. I am merely not renewing my financial contribution to retain the season tickets. However, I am not surprised that few bothered to read the whole message. I'll stick around. I just won't let the vagaries of UGA football rule the emotions of my life.

Muschump sold out Georgia when he took the Florida job and pissed on Georgia. I don't want him anywhere near Athens except when we're raping his defense every other year in Sanford Stadium.
I'll still love Georgia but I won't like him at all.

wtf once you graduate you take the most lucrative job available. You'd be a complete idiot to turn down a huge chunk of money because you graduated from another school.

Mark Schlabach ? @Mark_Schlabach
In last 100 years, Georgia has hired one coach who was a sitting head coach: Jim Donnan. Not Smart, Richt, Goff, Dooley, Mehre or Butts, etc

Let's hope Pruitt is smart enough to know that SC would be a disaster. Our biggest concern is him going to Bama.

Muschamp is a loser who antagonizes SEC officials. It's hard enough to win against SEC teams but it becomes almost impossible when the refs are also opponents. In the Iron Bowl, Muschamp called a ref a motherfricking cocksucker.

Let either Auburn or South Carolina tote that monkey on their backs.

But you don't trash the school you graduated from. I never bad mouthed any employer and always got a top recommendation from former employers. Muschamp trashed his old school. He's a shite and shouldn't be allowed on campus.

How old are you? I ask that because most people in 106 are older and established donors.

This situation has not upset me one bit and I am 45 and have been attending games since 1979. I was very passionate and made all the road game trips from 03-10. UGA football held an unhealthy place on my priority list. I would put a UGA football game above seeing my young daughters dance recital. Or camping with my son. Or going to an event with my wife. Etc. etc. and so on.

Then reality hit me like a ton of bricks. Stage IV Lymphoma twice in 2 years. I almost died the second go round......with a wife and 4 children under age 14 who I had taken for granted and put under UGA football......even though I would not admit it at the time.

Life experience and age seems to mellow one out about a damn game. That's why I am confused about your response to this situation. Maybe you are still in your late 20s and made a sizable donation to get enough Hartman Fund points to sit in 106. If so, disregard all the above because you have not enough life experience to understand yet what I am saying. If you are older and still get this emotional about UGA football then you are fortunate to not have had enough tragic points in your life yet to alter your perspective.

I am 40. I guess my response to this situation comes from the realization that I have been financially supporting the UGAA when its decision makers are mostly people for whom I have very little respect. I have liked and do respect Richt. I am no insider but I have been following the politics of UGA football long enough to glean that they want something they don't want to pay for, and in general just completely lack any vision. I didn't mind settling for less than championships if they wanted to maintain perceived integrity. In reality, though, they have no problem pissing on all the standards they held Richt to off the field when they have the ability to try to emulate Bama. Seriously, If I had respected what Bama has been doing to get its football championships, I would have become a Bama fan. But now that UGA just wants to be Bama, why should I remain a committed Georgia fan?

What has Bama done that you don't respect? I don't like the concept of oversigning and processing players....but I also don't like self imposed penalties by having 68 scholarship players for a season.

I don't like thugs on the team - but also don't like rolling over and suspending players for minor NCAA violations rather than fighting for them.

There has to be a good medium. Also, is building a solid line or focusing on special teams unethical? Clock management? Having the team ready for big games?

Bama's not exactly FSU and Saban isn't Petrino...what is it that they're doing that turns you off ?

In all honesty, it is this fact that makes me realize I may be truly breaking with Georgia on any level other than casual interest. They had a guy that showed nothing but loyalty to them no matter how crappy they made his job, and now, they want to open the purse strings for a guy that publicly used them for a raise?

Quite frankly, that is hypocritical bullshite, and who wants to support that? If I am going to continue to watch a game that has the power to destroy the lives of its players with insidious inevitability, I have to have think that something good can come out of it.

Luckily, this means that I have been able to watch the saga this week with bemused detachment rather than anxiety. If UGA wins again, great, if they don't, this administration deserves every turd they step in, so it will be entertaining regardless.

God...you are pathetic. Stop being a fan of Mark Richt and be a fan of UGA.
