the red and black contingent will go today at 10:05 a.m. Coach Smart will field questions along with juniors Dominick Sanders and Jeb Blazevich and senior Brandon Kublanow. Catch it on the SEC Network or WatchESPN.

I don't know about anyone else but whenever Kirby first got the job and had to do a lot of talking, he sounded uncomfortable and tentative. He certainly has come into his own as a well polished figure for our program and has come a long way in looking like a poised head coach and appears to be fully prepared to take on the spotlight. I also think he's a much better dresser than Richt fwiw

To be fair to Kirby, there were a lot of emotions involved with his first few pressers as he was getting his dream job at the expense of one of his former bosses and colleagues. Also wasn't much he could reasonably say or promise given that there was still so much unsettled at the time with regards to recruits and coaches. He's in a much more stable, controlled situation now and i think it shows

I worked in radio for a bit, and I can tell you this...the first time you sit down in front of a bank of microphones, or in front of a lot of people, you are extremely nervous. I don't care how seasoned you are. however, after a few times of it, you settle in and just do the job.
I'm sure he was just getting settled in.

Anyone have a link to watch the replay of CKS? I had a meeting and couldn't catch his speech. I have it on now, but missed CKS.
PS - Finebum just picked us to lose UNC, UT, and Florida and finish 2nd in the EAST behind UT. Hope that fuels these boys a little more...
