Exactly, the defense isn't the stinker a lot of people claim it is. We have a legit shot at having both the DPOY (Beasley) and DROY (Jones and Neal).

It's not great by any means and can and will be beaten but there are young, fast, aggressive playmakers on that side of the ball.

I would rather play the Packers. We would be playing them at home (where we already beat them once) and they will most likely be without Jordy Nelson.

Dallas doesn't really scare me that much but we would be playing on the road and against a better defense.

Dallas O
Points/Game - 5th - 26.3 ppg
Total Yards/Game- 5th - 376.7 ypg
Rush Yards/Game - 2nd - 149.8 ypg
Pass Yards/Game - 23rd - 226.9 ypg

Dallas D
Points Allowed/Game - 5th - 19.1 ppg
Total Yards/Game - 14th - 343.6 ypg
Rush Yards Allowed/Game - 1st - 83.5 ypg
Pass Yards Allowed/Game - 26th - 260.4 ypg

Green Bay O
Points/Game - 3rd - 27.6 ppg
Total Yards/Game- 7th - 370.9 ypg
Rush Yards/Game - 21st - 104.5 ypg
Pass Yards/Game - 5th - 266.5 ppg

Green Bay D
Points Allowed/Game - 16th - 23.6 ppg
Total Yards/Game - 22nd - 364.0
Rush Yards Allowed/Game - 8th - 93.2 ypg
Pass Yards Allowed/Game - 31st - 270.8 ypg

Just for comparison purposes
Atlanta O
Total Points/Game - 1st - 33.8 ppg
Total Yards/Game- 2nd - 415.8 ypg
Rush Yards/Game - 5th - 120.5 ypg
Pass Yards/Game - 3rd 295.3 ppg

Atlanta D
Points Allowed/Game - 27th - 25.4 ppg
Total Yards/Game - 26th - 371.2 ypg
Rush Yards Allowed/Game - 17th - 104.5 ypg
Pass Yards Allowed/Game - 28th - 266.7 ypg

I would welcome a Nelson-less Packers to the Dome in a heartbeat. Nelson is every bit as responsible for the Packers recent streak as Rodgers is. If Nelson is playing though, I'd rather go to Dallas and watch them get behind, Jerry Jones freak out and call down to the field and force them to put in Romo who will then get his collarbone broken again by Beasley.

I'd rather see the Packers in ATL rather than have to travel to Dallas. It was pointed out in another thread that the Falcons home/away record this season is nearly identical but, still... come on, there's an advantage to playing the NFC champaship at home. Just the difference in crowd noise can help. The Falcons offense is comfortable at home and with a young defense, it's better to have crowd noise drowning out the other guys' offensive signals vice your own. I'll be in section 128 tomorrow afternoon raising hell, Rise Up!

NFL isn't really my thing but it just seems like nobody would want to play aaron rodgers right now, that guy is scary. But I do see the benefit in playing at home, especially if Jordy is banged up.

Assuming the Falcons win against Seattle I think they match up much better with Green Bay than Dallas. There is a strong chance the Falcons would lose to Dallas on the road. They have a ball control offense and a strong defense and it has been shown repeatedly that teams like that will beat a top offensive team in the playoffs. My guess is that whoever wins the NFC this year will win the superbowl (likely against New England / Pittsburgh).

These hype videos are probably the best I have ever seen by the Falcons organization.

I'm taking my dad to the game. He's 70 going on 50, but I have a busted ankle. We are ubering in and I'm looking for food recommendations near the stadium.

My dad is socially inept and cannot handle crowded environments.

That leaves me to look for something that won't be super crowded but close enough that I can limp my way to the dome.

Any suggestions?

1st time that I feel a win in the playoffs is achievable. Actually scared that the media believes the falcons will win the game. Close game - Coons 37- West birds - 28
