It really depends. From a scam standpoint, its obviously better to get them ahead of time plus you have that peace of mind. You would probably find better deals on Gameday but that comes with the added risk of fake tickets

just pulled the trigger on tix
section 314 row 1
2 tix for $235, includes fees and deliver (tix were $88 ea)
love the idea of being on the 1st row
also like the feature of most of the ticket sites that show you a view of the field from each section before you buy
yes, I probably could have gotten cheaper tix on game day, but I just couldn't wrap my head around the risk/reward of fake tix...
