I seem to recall many Barners claiming this guy to be an X and O's but can't pull the Jimmies and Joes. How about now? He and Pruitt are on the verge of accomplishing recruiting at a level UGA hasn't had in quite sometime.

Seems to be doing this year what Garner really never did. Completely clean house on in-state interior defensive linemen in a single recruiting season.

Meanwhile, the silence on the plains is golden.

The Barners thought they got the better end of the deal too and now they want him gone.

Our timing on ditching Garner and picking up Rocker is looking to be absolutely perfect.

They were also the most outspoken about how Pruitt wasn't a good hire for us. Now they're on their recruiting board discussing when and how Pruitt will leave.

They realize Pruitt is a good coach and a great recruiter. I agree it's not a matter of if Pruitt will leave but when. That being said, I think we get a few more years out of it before he goes on to become a head man somewhere. I think if he sticks with us the way Kirby sticks by Nick we could do big things in Athens. He is a difference maker and his influence in Athens has been notable. By far the most exciting hire i've seen.

^^^^^^^^^^ This... The Auburn recruiting boards are littered with "Garner is getting his lunch money taken by Rocker & Pruitt in Ga."....

It's Pruitt that has their panties in a bunch over there. From the barn recruiting thread:

"If Bama and Saban need a DC and they offer Pruitt you better believe he'll drop UGA in a heartbeat and head home to Tuscaloosa. Jeremy Pruitt is a bammer through and through and he has too much Bama in him to turn down that offer.

I had Jeremy Pruitt for weight training for two years at Hoover HS and all he talked about was Alabama football and how he left a full ride at some mid major school to walk on at Bama and realize his childhood dream and how proud it made his bammer daddy. Just like any bammer he'd jump on command for Nick Saban."

They mad

The part he left out?

Where Mrs. Pruitt is head over heels about living in Athens.

Would it be safe to say that Georgia is taking us to the woodshed right now in D recruiting?

In Georgia w/ their in state DL recruits, no question about it.

Do you see Pruitt completely shutting that state down?

We won't know til signing day but it looks like he'll come closer to doing that than any coach in my lifetime, and do so easily.

It makes it even sweeter when you consider just how bad we've owned their arse during Richt's tenure. 7 of the last 9 (with the majority being complete blow outs) was fun, but what if we could do better?

Rocker may be riding the wave, or he may be a big part of the wave. All I know is things have changed since CJP and Rocker decided UGA was gonna be a winner. Few years back I accepted UGA wouldn't win it all in my lifetime. Now I'll be surprised if we don't have one in the next 3-4 yrs.

Regarding CJP's future in Athens? Who knows, but I've heard from those who know that had CMR won the Bama game and then whipped ND for the MNC he was gonna hang it up. I suspect if CJP is around when CMR wins the big one UGA will hand him the keys to the kingdom. Now if he wins big and Bama comes calling all bets are off. But UGA is a dam good gig and CJP probably knows that. Take it for what it's worth....which is about nothing!!

What is it with UGA and recruiting recently? I know they have always recruited well, but it has gone to a new level. I really thought with Gus, Craig, Garner, and now Muschamp we would have to turn kids away. Sure we lose a lot to bama, but now we seem to lose most head to head with uga.
