One of the biggest UGA fans I ever met. I feel like I saw him at almost every road game I went to. Prayers for his family and friends.

My wife is friends with his son - sad news indeed. He was a good man by all accounts. Prayers for his family.

Damn. Ran into him a couple of times at games and seemed like a great guy. Once was crossing the street downtown and noticed him in his truck at a red light and he gave us a huge go dawgs. Once he was enjoying a cigar after a big win walking back to the tailgate.
When I mentioned it to my family we all independently noticed that he hadn't been on tv much if at all the past couple of seasons so I'm guessing he was in poor health for a while.

Agree. Gotta be very tough on his family and close friends. 65 is not that old today. Hell, I'll be 61 in April.
