R.I.P.
The Legends are dropping like flies lately.
Also, didn't you announce the death of another legendary pro wrestler on here recently who was also related to Robert Toombs?

Saw him on "celebrity wife swap" with Ric Flair a couple of years back...seemed as though he lived a pretty laid back and frugal life style and seemed pretty healthy (wasn't a flat slob and still looked like he worked out)
Who knows, maybe ALL these guys were juicing for a long time and it just breaks down your organs eventually.
What was the cause of death?

I think we were just discussing Piper ? I wonder if Piper being born in Canada had anything to do with R Toombs unwillingness to swear allegiance to the U.S.?

One of the last great Georgia statesmen. I wonder how many times he's rolled over in his grave at this point........

If he weren't such a mean drunk, he'd have most likely been President Robert Toombs.

.....and if he'd been president...yankees would most likely need a passport today in order to cross the borders of northern Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas when traveling South.

Never knew he was a direct descendent of Toombs...that's crazy.

When the Confederacy finally collapsed in 1865, Toombs barely escaped arrest by Union troops and went into hiding, with the aid of writer Richard Malcolm Johnston, until fleeing to Cuba and then to Paris, France. He returned to the United States via Canada in 1867. Because he refused to request a pardon from Congress, he never regained his American citizenship.

They Live is one of the best worst movies of all time. Heard they were thinking of rebooting it, as Hollywood is wont to do of late.

The message in that movie is spot on and pretty chilling ... and it ages exceptionally well.
