The 2015 signing class for the University of Georgia is making an immediate impact in Athens. Georgia led the country with 19 true freshmen seeing snaps in the season opener:
Johnathan Abram
Deandre Baker
Juwuan Briscoe
Michael Chigbu
Kirby Choates
Terry Godwin
Jackson Harris
DaQuan Hawkins
Jonathan Ledbetter
Rico McGraw
Nick Moore
Natrez Patrick
Chauncey Rivers
Rashad Roundtree
Roquan Smith
Juwan Taylor
Trent Thompson
D'Andre Walker
Jarvis Wilson
Jayson Stanley and Shaquery Wilson played last Saturday, bringing the total to 21 true freshmen that have logged snaps for the Bulldogs this season. Four - Godwin, Harris, McGraw and Abram - have already made starts for Georgia in the first three games. Richt acknowledged Tuesday that recruits know the opportunity is always there to play early under his watch.

“We’ll play freshmen, and I think we have played 21 true freshmen," Richt said. "I think they are learning how to play. They play with a lot of energy, enthusiasm and athleticism."

Our depth is starting to get nasty with all of the experience our guys are getting

Things are looking real good. I honestly don't know how to act....

Very good sign if you can win with yout's. A few UT fans are defending CBJ because he's playing a lot of sophomores. Looks like someone in Athens can pick 'em.

A ton of those guys are contributing on a regular basis, not just ST's. Awesome situation...

That's 21/30 signees in the 2015 class that have already contributed. Add Ganus to those as a separate newcomer. 2 signees didn't qualify (Seymour gone forever, McCrae will probably be back)
2014 class already features 8 starters (or at least primary contributors based on packages) and 4-5 others in the two deep.
That's outstanding early returns on the most recent two classes. That's helped UGA tremendously to overcome a mostly underwhelming 2013 class.

and zero OL with 2 to 3 gone after this year. Please tell me we'll be able to block next year.

OL isn't a position where freshmen play early if you can help it. Freshmen OLs also can't help on STs.
OT could be an issue next year though.

Cam Robinson, the FR now at Clemson for NGwin and more have played at our rivals.
in 2002 we mixed in Bartly and Brock (Guards, I know) for the senior losses the next year. I'm not seeing much of that this year. I'm scared shitless for next year's OL.

They were/are better than any of the freshmen OL we have.

UGA may eventually mix in Allen or Madden as the year goes on.
I think Kendall Baker will likely take one of the tackle spots next year. Not sure about the other.

Has Kendall played many snaps? how has he done?
Galliard got pummeled in at least one play against SCU.
anybody else besides Long.
Still scared shitless.

I've seen Dyshon (sp?) Sims play some and look decent.

Croot... You & me might get run over by a fricking MARTA bus invading Cobb/Paulding County before next season... Lets just let this year play out first & be glad the Skill/D players are getting reps(tons of them). The OL guys will be worked in IMO as they are ready(as always)... Gotdamn...

This
Isaiah Wynn will also be back but we will have some changes next year and there will be an impact. Our line this year is so good but when you lose seniors expect some growing pains. That being said, we have some talented guys committed and already on the roster so I expect that line play will stay solid.

OL is not a position where freshman play unless you suck. We've got guys in the wings who I hear much good about. The o-line is in better shape than it has been in the 25 years I've followed UGA....dam I'm getting old.
Now compare productivity to the "dream team". Boys, something is happening at our beloved University. I don't know who or why, but I like it. A lot!

And he might have been the least hearlded of the entire class. Love buys like that!
