If Richt and McGarity dislike each other so much, why would Richt become an Asst AD under him after he basically fired him?

Donnan coached and won the Hawaii bowl after being fired.

Good question. Better yet, why would McGarity install a permanent threat to his own job?
None of this adds up.
I'm going back to thinking that Richt is still in shock and defaulting to nice guy mode. When he should be on phone with his agent about Miami.

Interesting. Had Richt been hired yet?
Also. What did Donnan do the year after he was fired?

Worked in the library or something at UGA. He was there after he was fired as hc. The did espn some and his ponzi scheem. Interesting looking back a lot of fans were against him being fired even though he lost to UT, Fla, Aub and Tech every year.

Could Pres Moorehead have some input in this. Maybe that's the only way he'd sign off on the firing is if Richt was taken care of knowing the public was split on getting rid of Richt.

Far out.
Did he have a buyout? Will Richt become the highest paid college librarian in history with his buyout?
