You have to understand the dynamic in Texas. Everyone at every level is looking for kickback. If you aren't handing that out, you won't be getting anyone. He recruited and coached great at Florida and well at Louisville, but he made a mistake going to Texas. Too many didn't want him there and have always been working against him.

I will be highly surprised if Smart is NOT named HC within 2 weeks. Have to imagine both Pruitt and Sherrer would likely be kept since they have all worked together before, and if he were wise then I'd try to keep the entire D staff.

I can guarantee you I understand the dynamic at Texas better than most. He struggled to make relationships with HS coaches in the state and was dead set on bringing his guys in as assistants. It worked out poorly.
Also, if y'all ever thought Richt was bad a in game clock management, wait until you watch Strong.

I would think this scenario is the only one in which Pruitt stays...except the one in which Pruitt gets the job.

And Jimbo would do just as well here because he could tell all his recruits they don't have to worry about anything: the UGA administration will sweep everything under the rug, just like at FSU. Lol.

So many people on here wanted this to happen. It's funny to watch them all freak out now that they start to realize we have to find a replacement. Be sure to pick someone we don't hire to hedge.

Jesus, but then this administration deserves kirby. Hell, has he ever had to answer one media question that wasn't submitted and pre-approved? Better buy stock in prepaid cell plans. They should be selling like hot cakes in Georgia next year. UGA will just become one more sell out university for football glory.

We don't know if it will be Smart, but if it is, I hope he does well. We can't start screaming about a hire before it is even made. Sheeesh!
