Herman is too big of a risk. I wonder if he even knows 5 high school coaches in Georgia? Do you think he has ever been to Valdosta or Tifton or any of those traditional sources of talent?

Yeah, there's no way that Herman guy can recruit. Pulling in a 5 star at Houston... fluke. 31st ranked class right now, when Houston's never been inside the top 50 before... that's gotta be a fluke too. He also has recruited Georgia and Florida before.

Great we lose most of our incoming recruits and go 6&6 the next three years but at least we made a change....that's what I call progress

Why would we lose a recruit?

BTW what year in the last 10 did we not have a great recruiting class?

We have structural problems. Staff strife. Implementation trouble. Lack of attention to detail. All of which Smart can correct.

Tyson Helton will be our OC.

I just watched a little WKU on youtube. I knew they were doing some great things out there but haven't seen them play. The offense reminded me a lot of Ga offenses under Bobo. Looked like he likes to employ the tight ends a lot. Looks like it would be a good fit for Eason.

Speculation on Gump board is that Cochran would follow Kirby. Can you imagine an o-line under the tutelage of Cristobal and Cochran?

Heard Kirby again and keeping 'some' of the current staff.

Odd that they made this move without a plan in place...unless this is all a smokescreen to cover the fact that they did this mid season...

By odd that there is a lot of different stories from people who have at least decent ties saying totally different stuff.

Peter Buck, Can you address the e-rumor that Muschamp was suppose to come back home with Smart....up until he had his 5 millionth temper tantrum yesterday?

Only thing that makes sense is that Richt knew this was going to be what happened before it was revealed midseason that he hadn't signed his extension.

From Reddit. Beware

quote:

riend got this from the Inside: Ok he told me what cost CMR his job was the IPF. They were having donors hold them hostage by not donating unless CMR was let go. CMR resigned today he wasn't fired. He will serve at UGA as assistant AD and also will run the student outreach program and the Paul Oliver network for UGA. He will also serve as athletic ambassador and be very much involved with his old players. UGA and Kirby smart have a deal in place it will be announced Monday. Jermey Pruitt will stay on to be the DC with Kirby. They will also possibly hire from with in for a OC or look to Bama wide outs coach Billy Napier. Also Scott Cochran is mentioned to join Smart in Athens as Strength coach. He is best is business I believe this guy very much. He was also guy who told me Pruitt wouldn't be fired. For this reason It could be a solid hire. And save our recruiting class by having CMR stay on in the AD role. Also he said that's what he was doing by flying to talk to Eason. He knew what was going on and wanted to reassure him Also he is very confident that McGarity will be fired this week as well possibly opening door for CMR to be AD

HC- Kirby Smart
OC- Mario Cristobal
DC- Jeremy Pruitt
Strength coach- Scott Cochran

Keep Brown, McLendon, and Lily and let Kirby or Cristobal bring in their guy to coach QB's. Pruitt's defensive staff would remain as intact as he wants it to.

Recruiting would not miss a beat but would skyrocket.

We get rid of our 3 biggest liabilities on the coaching staff, Richt, Schotty, and Sale.

We would win multiple championships with that staff.

I second that about Coach Richt. This thing's shaping up to be a win win, at least in my book.
