Because Kirby Smart's people were able to keep quiet for a month about getting hired, but suddenly they're divulging how Smart's plan to bring Muschamp with him fell apart yesterday.

Get your shite together.

Yes. They can't help themselves apparently. And are leaking info left and right now. To message boards.

You trust a board that says WIll Muschamp's five millionth temper tantrum cost him a lateral move to UGA?

I've heard the same thing, didn't see it on a message board.

Fine by me; never liked his defense anyway. Always thought the talent at UF overcompensated for what he called.

In all likelihood, Bama was always going to win that game. However, the fact is that Auburn was in the midst of a very tight game with points at a premium and he goes so ballistic over a pretty obvious hit out of bounds that he cost his team an additional 15 yards and put Bama in FG territory. Then, his head coach has to push him away from the Head Referee before he gets another penalty. Muschamp is a great defensive mind but his temper will end his career early. He's lucky he wasn't suspended after yesterday; if Gus hadn't gotten him away from Ritter, then he might have.

I would rather keep Pruitt than bring Muschamp anyways. Hopefully his tantrum allows that to be a possibility. Smart and Muschamp could recruit some goddamn defensive talent together, though.

I can get behind Kirby as HC. I couldn't get excited about Mullen though.

Why would a new head coach want someone on his staff that caused multiple staff members to threaten resignation if he wasn't fired?

Depends what caused the riff. If it was just a culture thing, as has been reported by some, then as long as Kirby were to bring the right culture then it wouldn't be an issue.

Not gonna claim to have a real inside source here, but I am hearing Smart. I think he'll be announced soon.

Don't hate Saban disciples too much, Dantonio, Jimbo, and McElwain are ALL Saban disciples.

IF he comes, defensive recruiting will take care of itself. All depends on OC hire.

Why don't we take a shot on Pruitt and let him bring in his own people? Dude has the drive to win, why take in another DC.

If the rumors are true, Pruitt's cancerous off-field presence was equally detrimental to Richt as Squattin-hemier's on field incompetence was.

If youre Kirby Smart and about to be the HNIC for the first time, do you want someone on your staff with a record of caustic insubordination?

I bet a lot of that came from lack of drive from the offense and the guys coaching them?

a source on Rivals that Radi posted is "credible" says it will be KS... WM may have blown it after their game yesterday as far as DC is concerned but Pruitt is out. It will be announced after SEC champ game. Just passing along info.

How about this

Kirby as HC
Pruitt as DC
Bobo as OC

We tell Bobo if he comes back we'll leave McGarity on the side of the road in southwest Atlanta
