Amazing how the very arguments used to fire Richt are now being used to defend Herman
I feel like most people wanted Richt gone bc we haven't won an SEC championship in 10 years, even with how bad the east has been, and it wasn't looking like we were going to win one soon with him.

I agree with most of what you said there. I was not someone who wanted Richt fired. I thought this was his first year with the athletic department fully supporting him by giving him the things we needed to win (ya know, except for paying Bobo) and our recruiting was doing as well as ever. McGarity had it out for Richt and I can't stand that guy. I think he made a mistake. Unfortunately that's in the past and I'm trying to look towards the future and I just think Mullen would be so underwhelming. I think he works really well with QBs, but he has not set up MSU well for the future. I think he's looking to get out ASAP. They have no running game or OL, and after this year they will be struggling to find any sort of offense.

@Keith247Sports: Mark May says UGA should hire Mack Brown. That's exactly who everyone else in the SEC is hoping for, no doubt.

This would be my absolute nightmare, but in reality, I just think it gives everyone another reason to think Mark May is an idiot.

Herman loses seemingly EVERY big game he coaches in, too? Over the last 10 years, with a few exceptions, Richt has lost the games he's needed to win.

Georgia better not get rid of Pruitt because if they do...

OK, pal... you want him to stay, give us a commit NOW, tell UT to go to HELL. If you love Pruitt so much, pull the trigger. Quit stringing the process along.

Legitimate concern and reason.

I'm going to laugh so hard after all of this and we hire some no name like Schotty or we go the lateral move with Dan Mullen. Then we lose half of our recruiting class because that is what Georgia deserves keeping an idiot like ADGM around.

Well I think my very first post on these boards last month started with something like "probably not a popular opinion but ..." So just par for the course.

Interesting, huh? I wonder if things would have been different had Bobo stayed? No way of knowing actually.

I don't know enough about him. It appeared as if he was doing some good things...but it also appears he was forced to do some of those things by other people.

Well...he's not my first choice, by any stretch. but we have to choke down the sexy hire and go with a solid hire. I don't think we will ever get a Saban or Meyer. We are not willing to pay the money.

but he has not set up MSU well for the future.

I agree...but I wonder if it is because it is just so hard to recruit at Mississippi State? I honestly don't know, and that, more than anything concerns me about him.

You've always seemed to be a level head. Nice to see you one the board.

Tressel is a 62 year old Ohio guy who seems to be pretty happy in his current position (president of YSU). If we did go that route, he would need a year or two to establish recruiting relationships in the South and then by 2020, we'd be looking for a new coach because it would be near retirement time for him.

ADGM lets Richt go but tells him he can stay at UGA at another job.

UGA fires ADGM and hires AD Mark Richt!!!
