With 247 reporting that Chubb will open pre-season with "no limitations", it makes our RB situation brighter. Sony's scheduled for a follow-up early Aug and that could determine his prognosis. There's an outside chance that they could both be available for UNC. Here's to bones and muscles and psyches healing quickly.

It feels like forever since weve had chubb and sony together. Good times head fellow dawgs

If chubb is full bore by UNC, I say we start eason adn give holyfield plenty of reps to keep chubb fresh.

That's good news. Gotta believe that Holyfield is training hard before camp knowing that he could possibly start the opener and hopefully he's ready for that if that's what happens. However, this is excellent news and I hope 27 is 100% and gets 15 carries against UNC.

I believe we will be okay at RB!

The crazy thing is, we've never actually had nick and Sony play together for more than like 2-3 games in a row. Imagine the damage that could be done if they played a full season together

What Kirby actually said was the first practice is jerseys and shorts with no contact, and there will be no limitations on that day. Beyond that they will bring Chubb along slowly and monitor his progress. We won't know the RB situation until the week before the opening game.

They were both healthy for the USCe game, and look what happened

"The big thing with Nick is going to be live, full-contact tackling," Smart said. "He'll do pretty much everything in the first part of camp. He'll catch the ball and do drills and a lot of the thud work. The psychological part of going through the first tackling is going to be a big thing for him. We have people working with him on that aspect of it."

Don't forget Herrien. I believe he will be surprisingly good based on his tape. Maybe better than Holyfield?

considering all the data...and going back and watching the Gday game...we will be fine...Chaney will work with what he has...the nice thing is that if our gunslinger(s) can step in and make a big impact...there are lots of targets that can take ease of the running game....we gonna be aight..

Smart is hoping to have Chubb in the backfield for the Sept. 3 season opener against North Carolina at the Georgia Dome, and he mentioned his star running back has implemented an interesting offseason regime in his attempt to return in time.

Looks like Smart isn't exactly certain Chubb will be ready for the opening game.
