Might not get around to answering tonight but probably will tomorrow morning some time. Here are some QB numbers, obviously the OL/RB/TE/WR isn't consistent across the board of course but rank them in order of which you think was the better season:

***Answers down below***

A) 59% completion, 2800 yards, 17 TD, 9 INT

B) 60% completion, 3300 yards, 13 TD, 11 INT

C) 55% completion, 2450 yards, 16 TD, 8 INT

D) 61% completion, 2500 yards, 12 TD, 9 INT

E) 53% completion, 1750 yards, 7 TD, 13 INT

F) 56% completion, 2500 yards, 19 TD, 10 INT

A) David Greene - Redshirt Freshman year
B) David Greene - Redshirt Junior year
C) Jacob Eason - True Freshman year
D) Quincy Carter - Freshman season (after coming from pro baseball)
E) Matt Stafford - True Freshman year
F) Matt Stafford - True sophomore year

Wasn't really point in doing this, just got drunk and felt like looking at the numbers. It really is crazy to me that Eason gets dumped on so much (and by our own fans at that) but he actually compared very favorably to some of our other good recent QBs as the same time, and actually even better than some of these guys' sophomore years. I guess we just overlook it because we were badass in 2007 and stafford was the eventual top NFL pick but his sophomore season was really underwhelming from a numbers standpoint.

He was also a redshirt...not accurate to compare a true
Fr to a RFr.

Young people don't remember how exciting Quincy Carter was to watch.

Old people that don't like him are racist and don't like black quarterbacks at Georgia.

absolutely. He was SEC freshman of the year in 98 and was really unlike any QB we'd had in a while. I remember him starting 15/15 in baton rouge against LSU as a freshman when they were ranked 6th. I found this 1999 CFB preview from the new york times where they said

"Last season Quincy Carter was the Southeastern Conference's freshman of the year; now he is a Heisman contender. The 21-year-old former minor league baseball player threw for 2,484 yards and completed 61 percent of his passes. He also scrambled for 284 yards and 4 touchdowns"

Also kinda fun to see how much things have changed over all these years looking at that preview and the different teams LINK

He was also put into some shite situations by CJD.
Don't know how many games I watched his offense
get completely stuffed at the start of the game because
he constantly tried to establish the run game no matter what defense we were up against..We'd get down by 2+ TD's and Quincy would have to bail us out in a shootout.

Jesus and the guy rarely if ever ran play action pass.

GT in '99,Virginia in the Peach Bowl and Purdue in the Outback all come to mind.
