I was looking over the last five recruiting classes we have had and I can't help to think how we have wiffed on quite a few quarterbacks over the years. Here are the names on the list...

Hutson Mason - 3*
Christian Lemay - 4*
Faton Bauta - 3*
Brice Ramsey - 4*
Jacob Park 4*
Greyson Lambert 3* (transferred from Virginia)

Of course, Mason was serviceable (though not much else) and the jury is still out on Ramsey and Bauta but it doesn't look promising.

Maybe having Murray as a 4 year starter warded away great QB's hoping for more playing time or maybe its our scouting, Idk. What I do know is that when we have had success in the Mark Richt era it has been with a good QB and an explosive defense, two things we seem to lack at the moment. The good thing is that we have a TON of young talent on defense and Eason coming in next year! There is hope!

If Mark Richt is ever going to win a championship its gonna be when Eason is in Red and Black. The force is strong within him.

Are there any QBs currently on other rosters in the SEC that you wish we had at Georgia?

QB shittyness isn't unique to just UGA. We're in some sort of weird conference-wide cycle on that front.

The big one we missed on was Deshawn Watson, but he was Clemson the whole time. Lemay, Ramsey, and Park were highly rated but just ended up being busts. I never thought Park was very good, but he was Mr. Football in SC so obviously he looked really good to some people. Ramsey had a cannon, but he only threw the ball a few times a game so you didn't see as much of his miserable decision making. Lemay had the worst arm I'd ever seen watching him throw in warm-ups. You could say we judged talent poorly, but those 3 guys had a lot of other really good offers.

I was thinking about that after the GL/BR debate. The entire SEC is pretty void of quality QB production. True of the rest of CFB as well. Might be that defensive coaches are learning to stop the spread.

I know this is crazy talk but what about the shitty quarterbacks at usce that beat us 4 out of the last six years.

How about every bama quarterback?

How about the loser pos (former gator) quarterback at auburn who lead them to a NC?

We are so good we keep missing out winning the SEC east.

I have no idea what you are trying to say here.

Hutson, Greyson, Eason... I'm seeing a trend.

Mason was offered as a backup with Murray and Mettenberger. Then LeMay was expected to be ready when time came. Ramsey has indeed been a disappointment.

Interesting breakdown for sure. SEC has had some weak QBs in the last couple of years.
