I'm predicting Ramsey based off of what the media has said of practices.

I do wish we would start Eason. He's the future and I'm a big believer in getting yong QBs as many reps as possible.

I'm going with Eason. If two people who know the system and have experience can't beat a Freshman by now I see no reason to start them.

This thread and the OP were piles of shite....then I came to this little nugget. Can you please explain what you mean by system that Ramsey and Lambert "know" that Eason doesn't?

Ok pal, in a momentary lapse of judgement I posted a mistake, however, they still have game experience and a ton of other practices to have perfected their art. I stand by the part about upperclassman not being able to beat out a freshman.

I'm predicting Eason will be the starter although he may not start v. UNC.
I also think he should be the starter to gain experience as the future of the program

I still think it will he some stupid shite where Sam Vaugn is in shotgun, TE motions out wide, vaughn runs up to TE and chubb moves out to QB for the direct snap, just to mindfrick UNC and make them burn a time out.

It will be Lambert or Eason.

And it's going to suck if it's Lambert (hell, it could suck if it's Eason but at least there will be hope for improvement; Lambert is who he is).

I'm just ready for the 50 yard bomb from Eason. Whether that comes sept 3 or October I couldn't tell you because I haven't been at practice

That being said l hopes Eason era starts the 3rd.

I'll be shocked if it isn't Lambert.

I'm bracing myself for Lambert, but hoping Eason gets the keys by Mizzou. All things being equal, (and when are they really totally equal?) you give the benefit of the doubt to the guy who has the higher ceiling - Eason.

Opposing defenses won't be so INT drop-happy this season, I guarantee you. That's one of the only stats that kept folks from murdering Lambert, last year and it was artificially suppressed.

I believe Lambert will get the first series. To get the second series Lambert must at least flip field position or Eason gets called on. How much Lambert plays depends on his performance. Nothing will be set in stone nor should it be.

I don't care whether Eason starts against UNC but he must play a lot in that game.

My bet is Kirby promised him the starting job to keep him at UGA during the coaching transition. Of course, it would never come to public light if this was the case

I don't think any good coach makes that kind of commitment to a QB recruit unless he is convinced that all the other QBs are dog shite. Lambert is better than dog shite.

Greyson isn't a good qb. At least he wasnt last year. He played with zero confidence, had happy feet in the pocket and was too scared to stretch the field. Combine that with the fact the we were about to lose our lead recruiter and the nation's number 1 qb to FLORIDA, and I bet Kirby promised him whatever the trick he wanted, but who knows?

Doubtful. Kirby doesn't seem the type. And there are few quarterbacks that you determine are "can't miss, guaranteed to be ready." Maybe at other positions but not a QB, no matter how highly rated coming out of high school.

Kirby himself just said in the post-scrimmage press conference that he feels like these guys are never as good as their accolades suggest. Maybe that was to motivate Eason, but it's probably true.

Can't see Smart "guaranteeing" Eason that he would start game one.

Personally, as it stands right now, I think Lambert is their top contender and they're trying to get Ramsey and Eason to drive each other to maybe make the leap.
