4) LSU: 16
5) Arkansas: 15
6) UK: 14
7) A&M: 13

Obviously that doesn't take talent into account or mean too much but it is at least a fancy conversation piece.

Not that it makes much of a difference in where we are listed, but I think we should have 12 starters returning with Kolton Houston getting his 6th year of eligibility.

He's also likely not taking into account Malcolm Mitchell or, to a lesser extent, JSW.

Might not be. I am not sure he includes Jenkins or Floyd. But it's at least something.

Obviously I am hoping that Davis/IMac/the freshman develop at WR, our DL come in ready to kick arse, the ILBs don't drop off too much but my main worry? QB.

That probably includes Gurley. I think we will be ok at running back

LSU will be good if they can get a decent QB. Tennessee will likely be in contention for the East. In spite of their crappy record, they played us tough. Of course they usually do regardless. Arkansas might well content for the West. We always seem to play a lot of young players because we lose so many experienced players for a variety of often inconceivable reasons.

I guess I never looked at it hard enough. We also rotate like crazy on DL so that doesn't tell the whole picture either

It's really about DL, ILB, WR, and QB

I'm concerned about QB costing us a game with ill timed mistakes, but we have some things working in our favor IMO. Ramsey is talented enough to be very good, our running game/OL and Richt's history with developing QBs. My primary concern is the middle of the front 7. UF, Carolina and Tech ran right through us. That was really the common theme in the 3 losses I thought. We have to get more physical up front. I'm hoping the new S&C hire helps that. But at DL/ILB we don't have a ton of experience and we don't have a single player that will be vying from any all-SEC consideration.

That is definitely a worry. We are definitely built more to stop the pass. But I have a lot of hope for Pruitt and the new S&C coach. But you're right, we were physically manhandled on the front in our losses. ABsolutely mauled.

That said, i have considerably more faith in the defense's ability to bend and not break than Ramsey turning the ball over. I really don't feel good about him.

Yeah, QB is my biggest concern heading into next year. Ramsey has high upside, but he made some Joe Coxian throws in the Belk Bowl. It will be interesting to see how Park looks in the spring.

Never a good sign to be behind in this category, especially in this conference.

We are hurt most at QB, WR, CB and ILB. Fortunately, we have decent depth at all four of these positions.

BTW, I hope Mississippi State enjoyed their 15 minutes. It's over for them.

P.S. LOVE the Rob Lowe sig.

What do SEC West teams and marijuana have in common?

They both get smoked in bowls...

and I like this one a little better:

Just wanna have a little fun here replacing starters;

QB-Parks/Ramsey is are better athletes
Center-?
2 WR's - just keep the recruiting class together

2 DT's - Gaillard, Thompson, Mayes, Atkins
ILB - Carter, Kimbrough, O'Neal, Rankin(?)
Safety - Terry, Fenteng, Johnson, Roundtree

Looks good to me
