Rules, you are a tool--a screwdriver as I recall by your own admission. Welcome back this year.
Also when folks put the underdog as covering what does this mean exactly? Does this mean the same thing as the favorite wins but doesn't cover so 3 points are awarded? Or does this mean if you correctly pick the underdog to cover you get 7 points?

They are picking the underdog to cover the spread.

retooc brought this up earlier. They way it is set now, if you pick the Favorite to cover the spread ... and the Fav wins but fails to cover ... you get squat ... no points.
I will take in consideration the idea of awarding 3 pts in this scenario, but it won't happen this week, and I would like to hear what other participants think about it.

Thanks for this explanation. I wasn't thinking of it this way but re read your main post and realized that you can pick either team to cover for the 7. As a result I've altered a couple of my picks (but haven't posted them yet).
FWIW my 2 cents would be if you pick either team to cover and are wrong you end up with zero. As I understand it that is the way things are now. I think that would work best for the sake of consistency.
