yep...your choice to go balls out against the spread for more points. Or play it safe and just pick the dawgs to win for less points.

Its really not that confusing. Retooc has it absolutely correct ... go balls to the wall for 6my by picking vs the spread, or play it safe and take the 3 by simply picking the winner straight up. The bonus picks are entirely optional ... you can play em all or none or any number in between. The is no negative for playing the bonuses and not getting a single one correct. They are all candy.
