quote:

“It’s just the nature of the beast nowadays,” he said. “The kids have such a sense of entitlement. Nobody wants to wait their turn sometimes.”

Johnson recalled his own childhood growing up in Newland, N.C., where he said he couldn’t recall being on a team where there wasn’t a cut or that had rules about ensuring every team member was able to play, a common policy in youth sports.

"It’s just changed,” he said. “I think that it’s not so much the kids. It’s just society in general.”

I think in Marcus Marshall's case he didn't have a wait. He just wanted out of that shite hole offense.

Dorian Walker transferred cause of either A). He no longer wanted to be a DB (he played RB in Cobb against me) or B). He couldn't handle the academics anymore.

So I'm just seeing ole turkey neck getting worked up over kids not wanting to play for him.

You know, I am not sure how many people saw this so here it goes. I was in the student section for the GT game, and afterwards JJ Green took one of the whiteboards with the "We Run This State" written on it, walked up onto the podium in front of the student section, and danced and pointed to his name on his back. Pretty sure someone threw a water bottle at him.

It still pisses me off thinking about it. I appreciated his time here, he was the first UGA player I ever interacted with when I was in the band my freshman year, and I wished him nothing but the best when he transferred. I don't understand why he felt the need to get up there and act like the fans never supported him. Not our fault you couldn't start here. He is right up there with Al Horford for me now: total snake.

He's right which is why we will eventually have what amounts to professional sports in college.

Been trending that way for a long time - look back at the guys from "Da U" in the 80s demanding that the University change to accommodate them, rather than actually trying to act like they belonged at a university, for example.

Valid. I guess I should have qualified that by saying that the status of college sports will "officially" be acknowledged as professional pay to play.
