Probably gonna earn me a ban, but ...

Y'all are crazy. I'll never understand the fire Richt crowd, except that they really aren't different than the fire Paul Johnson crowd. Much like some of the Tech fanbase, the ones calling for Richt's head have some skewed perspectives on what your program was like pre-Richt - that your team was some kind of perennial powerhouse that fell from grace or that you'd even be sniffing at consistent success without Richt.

We like to rib y'all about how so much talent is wasted by Richt, but the truth is he is the reason you have that talent AND the reason you're even in the conversation. You could just as easily be Arkansas had it not been for Richt. And Lord knows he's owned us, even in arguably one of the best seasons at Tech in nearly 20 years (2009).

Just like any team, the formula for winning a NC involves a LOT of luck, with the exception of maybe that Bama team a few years back, but even in that situation you have to factor in the luck of having all the right pieces fall into place regarding personnel.

But, please, go on and fire him. We won't be weeping on North Avenue as we watch your program go through two or three years of rebuilding ... if you're lucky.

Why the frick do we let you post here? I'm fine with clever trash talk from rivals but you literally post like a twelve year old using their parents dial up in 1998. Either get more funny or get the frick out. You lost a ban bet already anyway.

Is it as childish as "nerds", "gnats", "bugs", etc.? Cause that's all I ever see on here.

How about not deflecting from the topic. I'll erase the offending term if it's easier on your delicate sensibilities, Nancy

See that's where your problem is. You think the problem is you're offensive. The problem is you aren't funny or clever.

Carlos Mencia doesn't suck because he says politically incorrect things. He sucks because he isn't funny.

Wasn't aware that Jacket77 was trying to be funny. Thanks for pointing that out.

I'm not attempting to be funny or clever. I'm posting an observation. If you don't want to take part in the conversation, don't read the thread or post in it. It's pretty simple, actually. Instead, you got triggered and now you're acting like an arse. It's just the Internet, junior - it's not that serious.

Can't say that I disagree.Especially about the luck part when it comes to NC's.

The fire CMR crowd is louder than its ever been and right now it looks like its a snowball affect that consumes every conversation about the program.

I appreciate your opinion...

But...

I'm not sure I understand your perspective here...you're saying...cmr is a good coach...so..assuming he is a good coach..even the best coach uga has ever had....( which I don't agree with but makes no difference in this argument) we should be content with where we are as a program? We shouldn't want more? Hmmmm? No thanks...who follows this business model? Uga has way more potential...

Wait....cmr is the reason we have talent at uga? I'll give you that he has recruited well at times...but the game has changed in the last 15 years and a monkey could recruit well with the homegrown talent surrounding the program in every direction.imho

In going to respectfully disagree with you on this...

Seems like a content ....don't like change..scared approach...that will ensure we continue to place undisciplined..unmotivated,teams on the field

One of these is definitely not like the other.

However, I think what you have are a bunch of emotional fans, first pissed off for losing to 2 top 10 teams and on the road to a UT team that has had the lead every game. Then, you see how completely shitty our offense is. We can't move the ball at all. 8 QTRs without a score is rediculous, even without Chubb.

Everyone and their sister knows Eason is coming in next year. We will have NC and SM back too. The defense is mostly returning and they are doing a HELL of a job, despite continuously having to run on the field.

I was on the fire Richt bandwagon Saturday night, but realized yesterday, frick it. Let him have his cake and Eason too.

If was willing to settle for being GA pre-Richt I might agree with you. I'm not, and I hope the fan base is unwilling to settle either. Dooley without Erk was meh. Dooley with Erk wasn't great but the two fielded hard nosed teams. I witnessed the 79 shite show, if not for HW who is to say how long Dooley would have survived. My point being I am not one of those dogs pining for the Dooley days.

Having said all that, I gave you a down vote because you are annoying and fail to realize you post on the GA board at the pleasure of the board members and the administrators. Also you welch on bets. Just go away.

I highly doubt Chubb plays a down next season. And if he does, I doubt even more that he will be the Chubb we are used to right out of the gate.

Sony has really disappointed as the feature back this year. I think a lot of it is Oline related, but our OL isn't projecting to be much better next year.

Overall, I still think we have an embarrassment of riches at RB, I just don't believe it will be reason enough to have hope for next year.

The state of GA is completely different now then it was even 20 years ago when Donnan took over let alone when Dooley was here. The amount of talent in this state is head shoulders over what Dooley had to recruit from, any coach should be able to pull a top 10 class from within 4 hours of Athens.

You should "want more", but also recognize that over the past 15 years Richt has given you "more" that your program ever had consistently over his tenure. Show me a 15-year streak on par with the last 15 over your program's history and I wil stfu.

Again, it's all about getting the right pieces in place and it's extremely hard to do on a consistent basis. There's only one program I can think of that's achieved this in the modern era - 1 out of 120. The rest of us are just rolling dice every year.

And we'll have to agree to disagree on the recruiting business. What were Goff's recruiting rankings? Donnan's? You telling me that when Richt arrived all of the sudden Georgia's talent pool leaped up on the order of several magnitudes and those guys came to UGA just because?

You were actually making sense until you posted this. If you don't want posters from other teams here, have us all banned. If you can't muster enough support for that, then live with it.

I have been giving the nerds shite as long as I have been on here, but 77's post is one of the few that I agree with.

Just gotta love the anti-Richt view of some: it's his fault our QB situation is what it is - nevermind that recruits and rating stars don't come with crystal balls that allow us to see how he will play on this level; or it's his fault that players drop balls or make mistakes; it's his fault it rains; blah blah blah. Heck I wouldn't put it past some on here to say it was his fault that Chubb got hurt or that Sony broke his hand.

Maybe we can hire Goff or Donnan back. I hear they are looking for work.
