OT....Will Smoltzie be a 1st ballot Hall of Famer?....

Yes. I think the latest exit poll on voters had him in the high 80s low 90s of percentage on ballots

Smoltz will get a small bump for his closer stats. Him and Mike Mussina are almost virtually identical and I think Smoltz will end up going in earlier because he closed for a few seasons. I actually think Mussina deserves to be first ballot but he probably won't be.

So... Bobby Cox had 3 first ballot HOFs in his rotation rotation, and only 1 title to show for it...

Happy for Smoltz!
The sad thing with Mussina is that if he put up the numbers he did in Baltimore from 1991-2000 as a Yankee, he probably would have been a fist ballot Hall of Famer. Instead his best seasons were spent playing for a small market franchise.

Hes the only pitcher in history with 200+ wins and 150+ saves. Postseason record and 3000 K's. Its all there in black and white. Honestly, I figured he was a bigger lock than Glavine.
