This is getting pretty scary. We're going to Fripp Island on Fourth of July and there have been to many shark sightings on the Atlantic Coast beaches. I saw another video from Facebook that showed a big school swarming around a pier in Myrtle Beach.

Just got back from Pawley’s Island last weekend, the sharks are no more than 50 yards from the surf. The day before, we were fishing in the Peedee near Georgetown and saw 14 foot white shark. The depth finder said 8 feet. Scary shite, but you have a better chance getting struck by lightning. Don’t let it prevent you from getting in the water (unless there are schools of jellyfish).

Going to Cocoa beach in 2 weeks, hopefully Mary Lee is lurking around.

@Dallas, is there a link to that picture?

Wow...just got back from Litchfield and you could see big schools of fish moving up and down the beach....so I'm sure the Sharks were everywhere. I was sweating so much alcohol it probably scared them away.

Okay...I just looked at that picture and have to call bullshite. I'm not a genius on photography but if you compare the size of those sharks to stuff on the land they're all about the size of 3 cars end to end???

I thought so... Heard people say they took the helicopter ride up & down the beach at PC or Daytona & would not get back in the water afterward...

Sharks live in the surf...loads of shite to eat in the surf and a perfectly murky location for a predator that relied on scent and sound more than eyesight. Loads of big sharks caught in the surf on every beach in the world. They have always been there and will always be there. Just cause you ain't seen them don't mean they ain't there.!
