Humm, I need to take Lew up on this or at least meet in in a good local food joint.

Skidaway Island

I am confused?

When I think of Skidaway Island I think of The Landings

I thought you got called out for being from the more rural and isolated part of Effingham Country?

He thought about taking that long-standing offer off the table after monteg hung out there this summer, but lew's a good guy so he didn't table it just yet. Come one, come all (to lew's house).

Granted, it's been a while, but I don't recall particularly enjoying the food here. I do feel like I remember the cornbread being good as someone else mentioned, but otherwise, it just seemed really over the top kitchy. I enjoyed Mrs. Wilkes (as opposed to Paula Deen's) if you're in to that kind of spot. Went to another restaurant that we really enjoyed but for the life of me can't remember it... quasi farm-to-table sort of spot.

I feel sad hearing this.

That place is nice, but dull as a bag of hammers.

Nice subdivision bout 20 minutes from downtown. My sister lives out there. What you give up in entertainment and location to the bar scene, you gain in privacy safety and silence

Well it's not like I lived downtown anyway. Y'all need to stay with olddawg for all that.

I was born and raised in Hinesville. County seat of Liberty County. It's just south of Savannah. It's where Ft. Stewart is but I don't come from a military family. I can mock Effingham because well, Effingham.

But I do now live at the Landings.

It's gotten a lot younger in the past 5-10 years. I run just as hard out here as I would downtown. Just different out on the golf carts, etc.

For real? We need to get up once you move out here. Maybe run a train on olddawg's sister or something.

Apologies then for getting you confused. There was a poster on here who was making a big deal about living in Savannah but lived there instead. others on here caught the switch and were giving the poster a razzing. Thought that was you but now must be mistaken for another UGA poster.

So have you had Lew Dawg and olddawg out for a golf game?

I see they "relocated" Charlie in the last year or so. Must have gotten too big for the golfers. At least they fixed the bridge and got a Publix. My nav computer is outdated so it shows me driving in water when I drive across the new access road to get to Abercorn.

Yeah that's the plan if I don't get this job as a firearm instructor in Midway.

Speaking or running / walking as you live in The Landings, do you ever give "walking lady" a lift? I think she lives a block or two away from the dog jail.

No, but I see her walking every day. A couple weeks ago she was behind me in line at that Kroger in Pinpoint. I could smell her before I saw her. People leave food and clothes on her doorstep. Supposedly she doesn't have any running water or power and her house reeks of human waste. Pretty sad situation.

How do you know so much about the Landings?
