Saw him in concert when he played Merle Fest!!!! Man did he still sound amazing just didn't have the energy behind the voice he used to have!!!! RIP MERLE!!!!! Pledge allegiance to the Hag

RIP Hag. I read where he said he'd die on his birthday and he did just that. Classic Merle. What a Badass

He made a personal cassette for the crew of Apollo 16 and if his request came true, his cassette and picture are still on the moon today

My favorite country singer/ songwriter. He was one of those rare artist that could write songs that related to the working man. RIP Merle Haggard.
