"The Last Waltz" is on Netflix now. If you've never seen it you owe it to yourself to watch. I'll be enjoying it again this afternoon.

Greatest concert doc ever made.

The Band's last concert with several guests. A must watch.

Don't know your age but here's another I've worn out...

I've admittedly been a big CCR & Fogerty fan my whole life... John Fogerty- Premonition

Late 20s, but obviously appreciate the hell out of CCR so thanks for the recommendation.

WG, you won't regret the two hours. Even someone only mildly interested in The Band will enjoy all the guests they had that night. Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Ron Wood, Muddy Waters, Dr. John, Neil Diamond (not a huge fan, but his song is good), Ringo, etc.

It's directed by Martin Scorcese

its a good concert film, but Scorsese and Robertson's lil love affair prevented the film from really showing how great of an all around band "The Band" was. They hardly even showed Richard, who may have been the most talented of the bunch.

Still, you should watch it, just to see Van Morrison acting a fool.

Levon Helm is one of my all time greats... Amazing that's just about the only Band version of "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" on video...

Unfortunately the audio only works during the songs. None of the discussion/interviews can be heard. Some kind of legal thing with netflix I guess.

I feel the same. Richard was one of the greatest voices of all time. His version of Georgia damn near brings tears to my eyes.

Turn on the subtitles. It's what I ended up doing.

They had to edit the snowball sized clump of coke from one of Neil Young's nostrils. Never understood how he could just be so amazing and so high at the same time.

Probably my favorite single part of the Last Waltz.

I keep going back and forth as to my favorite concert DVD: The Last Waltz or Stop Making Sense.

Byrne's antics on Once in a Lifetime are awesome. I think about it every time I hear it... same as it ever was...

Definitely my favorite but I'll have to give The Last Waltz a watch too.

Byrne playing Psycho Killer on Stop Making Sense. He could've used a little less speed

Hell yes. Gotta give "stop making sense" it's proper credit.

Under rated song on that: "Heaven"

Yea, that performance of Heaven is great. Such a good song.

Plus how bad can anything with Crosseyed and Painless be? Probably my favorite Talking Heads song.

Yes, that was a good concert with many great musicians participating but I think the best concert DVD I've seen was Roger Waters In The Flesh.
