You would have a point about preseason picks if we had lost to Bama say...20-17 or 24-20 then Tennessee had been a back a forth affair where they had the ball last and hit a TD to win it. But we got blown the frick out, again, for the 10th year in a row. Then we blew a big lead, again which we have done routinely the last 7-8 years even if we manage to win half those games. It's not that we lost it how we lost we are making the same mistakes EVERYYEAR and everything has been changed down to the AD and President there is,only 1 constant in the equation.

Most predictions I saw had 2 losses spread among Bama, UT, UF, and AU. If we beat Florida, we will finish the year as expected. That assumes a win against AU, which feels safe right now but who knows.

Our fans generally predicted 9-3/10-2 for the season. I'm curious how people simultaneously expected us to go undefeated and also lose 3 games. I mean those 3 losses have to come from somewhere.

I've been trying to harp on this since yesterday. Although I agree with TM and others...the way we have lost up to this point has been pretty ridiculous. However, I truly believe we've just played the two most difficult games on our schedule. That doesn't mean there won't be more losses or struggles this year but losing the past two games hasn't really surprised me and doesn't change the fact that this team isn't a playoff team. Oh wait! We've known that since the preseason.

It's not that we lose. It's how we lose.

Bama game- we didn't show up

Tennessee- we let them score 28 unanswered points. Our offense only scores what 17 points? Someone has to be held accountable for how we have preformed.

The big buck stops at Richts desk.

So what if we expected 2-3 losses. Did we expect to get blown out of the water by bama and lose to Tenn with a 24-3 lead? No, again like after the bama game, it isn't the loss, but how lost it. Same type of BS loss that happens at least 1 time a year by Richt. Richt is just a scrub coach who rather teach the players ethics than actually trying to win a football game.

Someone else said it best, that Richt gets out worked M-F and it shows on Saturday.

2013, we are up 27-14 with 4:29 left in the 3rd.

2012, we are up 21-10 on Bama.

2011, We are up 16-0 on Michigan St at halftime.

I'm not going back any further, but the other losses we had we for the most part, got blown out. Richt has many embarrassing losses, and the 2 this season are pretty damn bad.

Seems we have a lot in common with Tennessee. Will we hire Muschamp as our next HC? Derek Dooley might be available.

I want them to clean house honestly.
Wasn't too hard on Pruitt last year, but the same problems haven't been corrected.

I don't even know why we hired some nfl guy who's offenses ranked in the bottom half of the league.

And Richt, well 10 years without a sec championship, only wining the east twice when it's been down for a long time. It's just not good enough for me.

If that's good enough for you pro Richt guys, then whatever, but it will never be good enough for me.

I 100% agree with you, completely and totally.

Me too.

I predicted losses at Tennessee and Auburn. I was dead wrong about Alabama, but the way we lost to Alabama was unacceptable. Everyone expected Tennessee to be good and potential east winner, but they really are neither. The east is pretty awful right now. I don't think many people predicted us to win the national title, or even the SEC, but the east was ours for the taking. There is no excuse with the talent we have to not win the east. But once again, we are going to watch a lesser talented, better coached team win the division.

This is pretty much it. I've been used to losing 2-3 games on average a year. That's not a big deal to me; we're a work in progress under two relatively new coordinators. Fair enough.

I can't stomach being blown out at home against a team we're supposed to be trying to pull even with as a program and blowing a 21 point lead against a 2-3 team on its last leg. That's not a personnel problem, that's a mental problem. We can't handle adversity and that's baffling to me.

Oh so he's like Richt, great recruiter, but it hasn't worked out all that well on the field has it?

Same issues as last year. Can't cover people, can't stop the run, can't tackle.

Actually we've regressed in the tackling department, that was the one thing we did an okay job at last year.

Fundamentals- something we obviously don't get through to our players.

Tenn 2015 up 24-3 lost 38-31
Tenn 2014 up 27-14 won 35-32
Florida 2013 up 23-3 won 23-20
Bama 2012 up 21-10 lost 32-28
Michigan St 2011 up 16-0 lost 33-30
Auburn 2010 up 21-7 lost 49-31
Kentucky 2009 up 20-6 lost 34-27
Georgia Tech 2008 up 28-12 lost 45-42
Tennessee 2006 up 24-7 lost 51-33

So every year (outside of 07) since 2006 we have let and opponent comeback after having at least a 2 score lead. I gave them too much credit I said we at least won half the time when we did that, I was wrong we are 2-7 when that happens.

First of all, 2 scores isn't a "big lead". You act like 14 points is a practially insurmountable lead, and hell you even included some games we had a TD + FG lead on someone with 25+ minutes left. YOu're reaching hard. I won't even address the wins, since ya know...we won the fricking game.

quote:

Tennessee 2006 up 24-7 lost 51-33

valid..that was bad.

quote:

Georgia Tech 2008 up 28-12 lost 45-42

valid, although similar to yesterday it was practically a comedy of self-inflicted errors.

quote:

Auburn 2010 up 21-7 lost 49-31

Invalid, 14 point lead in the FIRST QUARTER is shite. Especially considering we were a 6 win team playing on the road against the national champs and heisman trophy winner. We all knew that was borrowed time.

quote:

Michigan St 2011 up 16-0 lost 33-30

valid

quote:

Tenn 2015 up 24-3 lost 38-31

valid

So 4 games in 10 years.
