Play 50 freshman, start the season without a QB, have a 1st year OC, a 2nd year DC. yet we have national title hopes .we have a really good RB!!

We're like the kid who asks his special needs aunt out on a date because our mom told us we were handsome

Fire richt. Because frick this frick that frick everything. But somebody needs to bump a preseason prediction thread in this bitch because apparently we were supposed to be the '05 longhorns

Our fans generally predicted 9-3/10-2 for the season. I'm curious how people simultaneously expected us to go undefeated and also lose 3 games. I mean those 3 losses have to come from somewhere.

I predicted 10-2 with loses to Bama and Florida. It looks like it might be 9-3 at best.

Seriously. Bump the preseason threads. Nobody expected us to win the natty.

The only thing we were delusional enough to believe in is that we could beat shitty teams like Tennessee.

Tennessee was the trendy pick to win the east this year. by a shitfrick ton of people. top to bottom theyre a much more talented team on paper. they just have a horrible coaching staff

IIRC, UT was generally pointed out as the #1 trap game by people around here preseason (myself included).

I also don't think most level-headed people would have counted on a Bama victory either.

It is the 3 loss expectations EVERY year that is the problem. 3 losses do not get you to Atlanta when 2 of them are in the SEC east. The fact that 9-3 is an acceptable goal every August is the problem. 9-3 is fine 4 years in a row AFTER an SEC title....9-3 is fine 3 years after a SEC east title. 8-4 is even acceptable in that scenario....he'll even 7-5. But 9-3 or worse after 10 straight years of doing nothing at all on the field to improve on the 9-3 season is a problem for any fan base.

If Richt had won the SEC east the last 2 years he would have earned a pass, at least by me. He failed and thus deserves nothing for fulfilling August expectations of losing 3 or 4 games. What are we rebuilding on? 10-2 and 9-3 seasons where we finish 2nd in the SEC East? Why the frick would we rebuild to that standard?

I'm not gonnna take the time to respond to all that, just konw that I'm not all-in on "yeah richt is awesome let's keep him forever", so there's one talking point people make that isn't true.

My point was simply taht going into the year most UGA fans predicted us to have between 2-4 losses. We currently have 2 losses with LIKELY 0-2 left on the schedule (with 1 being the most likely outcome). I just pointed out how stupid it is that people are getting so furious about something that they themselves already predicted would happen. Like, I wouldn't predict myself to get tired tonight then be pissed at myself for falling asleep.

Truthfully Tennessee should be undefeated right now.

Yup, it's funny. I predicted 2 losses, it's looking more and more like 4 this year.

I do however have an issue with how we've lost. It's just been baadddddd. If they were close games where we played well and just got beat at the end, that would be one thing. But we just haven't looked good. They need to start showing some improvement.

you can make a compelling case for such, but it's sunday so your post is futile. People are going to come call you a dumbass and say if you don't think richt should be drawn and quartered you're wrong.

Probably best to make those type of posts on like wednesday IMO.

For me it's how we lose, not the fact that we do. I mean if I tell you we are gonna have 2-3 losses and it'll be to top 10-15 teams in close games that's different than saying we are gonna get blown out by a good/great team and lose to a shitty team or two (in a typical year). It's not the end result of 9-3 but rather how you get there.

I know some people don't like Richt simply because we don't have an NC but that's not the issue for me. We aren't an elite program and have never been so I don't expect an NC every year. The main issue for me is that the same issues come up every year and I don't honestly see it ever changing. There's a good post over on Get The Picture that hits it on the head.

So predicting a loss to Bama makes a curb stomping ok? Because we thought we'd lose?

And recognizing UT as the ultimate trap game makes blowing a 24-3 lead ok? I mean it was a big time trap game, right?

We should accept whatever shat was served up because we all knew it was tough?

Bottom line- our weight may fluctuate but we will play below whatever weight we have. That is the only thing consistent about CMR.

We could easily lose 5 or 6 games this year. We don't have an Aaron Murray to carry us when our big horses go down. I did like the way Lambert played yesterday so hopefully he keeps improving.

We are an abortion clinic at QB. it was a 3 way race up until the 1st game almost. Love it or hate it, at UGA we're going to live and die by our QB. I dont give a shite how bad the situation is. We aint changing our gameplan for any frickin' body

Honest truth is our team is just not that good right now. We are too young on defense and can't lean on our offense like we have been able to in years past. We were never winning shite this year with Lambert/Ramsey, especially with our defense playing so poorly. Our supposedly dominant pass rushers are neutralized nearly every game (Floyd/Carter/Jenkins). Just have to keep playing the young guys on defense and they will get better.
