Who all has been to Oxford? Looking to go this year. Am I better off buying tickets on stunhub or trying to find them on game day?

Thanks

I went to Ole Miss back in 07 or 08. They are a significantly better team now, so I'm sure tickets are much harder to come by. I would probably just do stub hub because that is a long way to travel just to be shut out. That being said, I'm sure you would be able to find one in Oxford.

ETA: based on the replies I guess it was 06

Tickets are gonna depend on how they do vs Bama and FSU. If they're undefeated it's going to be a very expensive ticket. If they're 1-2 they'll be cheap.

If be fine spending the current amount on stubhub to be safe. In a 60k person stadium I'm sure even the cheap seats are pretty good.

The real pain in the arse is finding a place to stay. I started planning this trip way too late

With a road trip like that I always like to have tickets in hand before going. Stubhub is a decent option but I'd recommend seatgeek as well. They don't kill you with stubhub like fees and actually show you whether a ticket is a good value or not.

Damn. If $120 a pop is a "cheap seat", I'm better off on my couch.

I went in 06 and 11.

Teh stadium is going to be reconfigured from the last 2 times, in that the students have moved to the other endzone to accommodate their renovations.

Alreayd been said but what you'll pay for a ticket is going to depend on how good they are. If they only have 1 loss coming in (or miraculously undefeated) you might as well not bother.

How much are you willing to spend on one? I might end up having an extra.

Thanks for the offer but I will actually be looking for 6 tickets. Me and my brothers are going.

We're willing to split into groups. We just can't decide if we should just pay a little more now to guarantee a seat or risk trying to scalp them.

Plenty of rooms in tunica or tupelo, I would guess. Ones is an hour east the other an our west of oxford. Ole miss does not have enough hotel rooms for a swim meet let lone a big game

If you are single (or pretending to be) get there on Wednesday or Thursday and check out the ladies. As good as Georgia and usually friendly.

Tunica has the best craps tables anywhere on earth...unless they have changed you can bet any amount you like on the odds.....and that is as close as you can get in a casino to not just tossing money away! Depending on the point the house has NO advantage on the bettor on a free odds wager....that is why there is no place on the board for it and you simply lay the bet in front of you....and they won't tell you or remind you most of the time....if you stay out of the middle of a craps table you can gamble against the house with only a miniscule mathematical disadvantage...it ain't exciting like tossing cash in the middle of the table and gambling but if you like the idea of leaving with most of your money still in your wallet and maybe even having some of the houses money it is the best way to accomplish your goals...and the conversation and the antics of true craps people is well worth the small price of admission if you enjoy characters....nothing like meeting a person who truly believes that just because a hard 8 aint happened in a while that it is more likely to happen any minute now....couple that with free bar scotch and a cigar and life doesn't get any better in a casino!

Do any of the Casinos have shuttles that run to Oxford on game day? Was looking at staying in Memphis or Tunica but trying to avoid operating a vehicle. Do they have Uber in Oxford? Tried finding car service or bus from Memphis...not much luck. Has anyone seen anything?
