I was listening to Paul Finebaum today and they replayed this call.....
He introduced it as a tribute to the Allman Brothers retirement for some bizarre reason....because he said they were formed in Jacksonville (which i'm guessing, he is confusing with lynyrd skynyrd).........and then he said something about Lindsay Scott almost being "sacked" in the endzone (which of course he is confusing him with Buck Belue)..,.
Dude is putz. And a hack.
It's awesome.

Or maybe the Allman Brothers really did start in Jacksonville.......as I am now reading about....... That sucks.
Finebaum is still a hack though.

I think they met up in Jacksonville and then moved to Georgia really shortly afterwards so we will go ahead and claim them

Either way, they were pulled out of Georgian wombs and raised on Georgia soil.... which is the key ingredient......
Side Note: What are all of those white things attached to the dude's waist who appears at the 01:06 mark???
I was watching an old replay a while back, and there was one of these guys on the sideline too.

That's the guy with dry towels for the QB. They stick them in their waist on the field.

We were at the game. I didn't hear the call by Larry until about a week later. But it was epic to see the players storming Lindsey in the end zone. He was lucky to live through it.

Nah. None of the founding members are actually from GA or have family roots there. they just recorded and lived in Macon.
