I heard he was a trouble maker that enjoyed holding opponents right in front of the ref after the play was already ten yards down the field . Same dude?

I mean, no way a pro team would waste their time with a disaster like Catalina... let alone pay him cash money.

Maybe if he promised to be real good, and finally get it together this time, without the distractions of school learning and bible study, the nfl coach let him get time on the scout team to prove himself?

I mean, it's not like the other two lineman from last year signed NFL contracts either from that talentless disaster of a line...

He will be cut way before he makes a 53 man roster. You don't have to be a good player to get a free agent contract.

You actually, have to be a very good player to play College football. You have to be an even better player to play SEC football. You even have to be a better player to start for a SEC football team... you have to be even a better player to sign a free agent contract for a pro team....

If I recall, only 2% of D1 college football starters get a NFL contract and only .05% make a roster. The number who stay on for 3 or more years drops a good bit as well.

You can certainly get a free agent NFL contract without being a good sec player.

Imagine how bad everyone else in America sucks if they can't play over Catalina. Sickening.

You aren't supposed to say "signed"... you just sign it - "a real fan"

I watched it all season. He missed some, but everyone does. His issue along with the other guys was they were making them try to make some tough blocks against teams who were stacking the box and teeing off on the edge. We pulled centers and tackles a lot more than I've ever seen. I'm telling you, those guys are all getting shots because people saw the films and realized the issues.

Hopefully we will keep it toned down as well as have a QB with a little for field presence to make the bad guys pay for teeing off on the edges and stacking /shooting gaps with impunity this season. It will help whoever we have up there.

So you are saying our guys weren't athletic enough to pull or strong enough to push? Not exactly a ringing endorsement of their quality.

I'm not gonna speak for him but he said this ^^

Almost everything has to go right along the offensive line when you're pulling linemen. If anyone of the other interior linemen don't get enough push or if a LB shoots a gap - that pulling lineman is gonna have a problem.

A lot can go wrong pulling linemen, therefore it's not easy to execute in reality.

It's good to know that someone on this board saw what happened. Often defenders ran through untouched because either our OL was poorly coached or the scheme was too complicated for a bunch of upperclassmen. But, tread lightly, because you're very close to board heresy.

We will know soon enough. If these guys make rosters, then we can say it was on coaching or scheme. If they get cut early, we can say its because they just weren't good enough.
