I can dig having two late afternoon/night games out of the first 3 games. Mizzou's crowd isn't that intimidating so having a night game there is fine by me.

Carolina will probably be a nooner because, well, Boom

Or it will be the night game on SEC Network because, well, Boom and Kirby

A drunken Brent Musberger is always fun to listen to, even if he isn't the same announcer he once was.

Nessler is headed to CBS. I'm guessing Pasch and Griese or Tessitore and whoever he's got.

After this season. Verne is having his last hurrah this year.

I thought Nessler was going to CBS this season to call NFL games for a year before he takes over for Verne.

That's right. Forgot Nessler is going to call CBS games (NFL) right away. Always liked McDonough... would not be a bad tandem.

Chubb breaks a long TD run, followed by "Mama, there goes that man again!"

My guess: Musberger and Palmer get pulled off SECN into Nessler/Blackledge's old role. Tessitore and Blackledge get paired together. Pasch and Griese stay together.

Dave Neal and Andre Ware get SECN primetime game, SECN brings in two new guys to call their noon game every week.

Absolutely no inside info here. Just speculation.

LINK

Steve Levy moving from Sportscenter to CFB to pair with Griese. Tessitore moving to Nessler's old spot, presumably with Blackledge. Dave Pasch may be the odd man out, which sucks because I think he's really good.

ETA: God forbid Pasch gets stuck with Matt Millen. Millen is as bad as it gets.

So these are my announcer guesses based on last year's announcing teams, changes between last year and this year, network, how big the game is, etc...

Oklahoma/Houston: Steve Levy and Brian Griese
LSU/Wisconsin: Joe Tessitore and Todd Blackledge
UCLA/A&M: Verne and Gary
UGA/UNC: Dave Pasch and Rod Gilmore or Matt Millen (please God don't let it be Millen)
USC/Alabama: Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit
Clemson/Auburn: Brent Musberger and Jesse Palmer
ND/Texas (Sunday): Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit
FSU/Ole Miss (Monday): Joe Tessitore and Todd Blackledge

Not sure if they'd actually press Chris and Kirk into two games in two days, but Dallas to Austin is a very short flight. Maybe McDonough and Gruden would get one of the Sunday/Monday games.
