Go to homebrewedtackle.com for some deals. Guy's a GA fan married to a long time buddy of mine's daughter. Good guy.

I did an inventory of what is still in the bag-

Bass:
Half pack of Zoom Super Flukes- Smokin' Shad
Full pack of Zoom Trick Worms- Grn Pmpkin
Half pack of Yum Salty Lzd- Black with Red Sparkle
Heddon Spook- Solid White
Rebel mini-Pop-R
Rebel mini-shallow diving lipped crankbait- Fire Tiger

Catfish:
1 full pack of Gulp! Liver Baits

Bream/Trout:
Unopened jar of Berkely Power Bait pellets
Unopened jar of Gulp! mini-worms

At this point I just need a variety of hooks and weights, some rattletraps, a couple of full-sized Pop-R's, some panther martins, and I'll be good to go.

I'm only a Level 2 fisherman. If the bass aren't biting flukes, trick worms, topwater, or rattle traps, and the catfish aren't eating stink baits, and the bream/trout aren't hitting spinners or artificial scented worm baits or pellets, then I go home to cut grass and drink beer.

I figure I can do this for $30.

No buzzbait

If I were a tourney fisher, I'd use a buzz bait to cover water more quickly. But in my experience, I've never used a buzz bait where a pop-r wouldn't do. I've also known bass to come up from the bottom in relatively deep water to bet a pop-r, but I haven't noticed that from a buzz bait.

What the hell is a sammy?

NEVER run a buzzbait quickly. Sammy is a topwater stickbait made by lucky craft. Similar to a zara spook, walk the dog bhaits.

Know I know you're trolling. Which is fitting for a fishing thread. Carry on.

I know spooks, pop-r's, hula poppers, buzz baits, jitterbugs, but I've never heard of a Sammy. Sounds dirty. Like something you meet Chef for under the pier. "When you're in Tybee, make sure to meet Chef under the pier for a Sammy"

Lures and plastic depend on time of year and type of fish you're after. If you want all-occasion bait then just buy live worms or minnows
I buy at a local bait & tackle shop here and 3 different pros from the bass tour are in there almost daily. I usually just ask them what's biting, where, and on what.
But mostly I just use minnows or worms.

Budget is $75.

Seems reasonable to me..

There's nothing like out-fishing, out-hunting, or out-golfing some gear poser that's all talk and show.

I have a great story about doing exactly that.

I'll let Peter Buck tell it, if he accidentally stumbles across this at some point.

I can't believe you're so excited about a thread that doesn't have four grown men going 100 miles down to a shite town and sniffing up a thimble of coke.

Now it's out.

In my experience most of the high-end expensive golf/hunting/fishing gear is marketed to people who suck at all of the above... and are trying to buy the non-existent short cut.

Ask any hunting or fishing guide about this topic. Or scratch golfer.

DGD is almost on the MONTEG level in my book.
