Have a small dilemma - the wife and I are taking a couple of friends to the game on Saturday and we have 4 tix in sec. 101. Problem is we'd like to take our 8 yo son, but were unable to find 5 seats together, no surprise.
Would I be able to buy a $20 nosebleed ticket outside of the gate prior to kickoff and just seat him with us once inside? He's still small enough for a lap, or we can squeeze him between us. TIA.

Yes. I cram in other sections every game

I sit in section 101 and I do this with my sons all the time. The 'ushers' at the top of the stairs double check tickets sometimes. When they do, I just show them my ticket as I walk by with my sons without stopping. There will be a lot of kids at a game like this so you should have no problems at all.

Depends. Just how "portly" are you?

A game like this will be no problem. Your entire entourage will likely be able to "upgrade" to any area of the stadium pretty freely.
Have fun!

Yes.
Allow this all the time in our section. Only an issue with obnoxious kids that scream for cotton candy. Why do we still sell the crap anyway?

when I had season tix I hated folks like you, until I got the seatbacks installed. then you cheating fricks couldn't push me off of my spot.

No doubt...EVERYONE should have seat backs installed so you
don't have to put up with this BS .Either buy the kid a ticket next to
you or get a damn babysitter

But yeah, you should be able to

so RD, you realize I'm not the guy trying to squeeze some kid in a seat he doesn't have a ticket to..

Absolutely...last part of post was aimed those who try to cram their kids in.

I can't decide if the guy with the kid sitting ON his lap is more annoying or the drunk men on mine that can't handle their alcohol. I'll go with the latter.

you let drunk men sit on your lap while attending a football game?

Not willingly. Once the seal is broken, it's up and down, up and down. I bet I had to push 10 off last weekend. Par for the course when it's a night game.
