Nothing worse for you than opiates. The fact that you are condoning narcs over a plant for medicinal purposes is ridiculous.

When the law changes then we can have a rational discussion. Bottom Line, right now, it is still illegal AND against team rules. The players know it and no matter how you and I feel about MJ, it's uses or whether it "should" be legal or not doesn't change the FACT that these are the rules these guys are expected to adhere to and it is not some mysterious secret to play gotcha. They know the rules, stick with them. This is about self-discipline and the ability to tow the line...period. Again--This is not hard.

The fact that you're condoning the players breaking the law is equally ridiculous.

Further--if it were legalized and the university were good with using it FOR MEDICINAL PURPOSES, then setup a protocol and control it through the team doc--fair enough. IF these guys did actually smoke it, no one has proven it so we're in hypotheticals, I'd put money down on it not being for pain.

Opiates are also from a plant - depending upon the form you take them in, they can be directly from the plant, or processed to some degree.

This entire post could also apply to underage drinking but no one gives a shite about that because it is culturally accepted. In fact being able to go to downtown bars as an underclassmen is one of our recruiting selling points. Just food for thought.

And it's 100% true.

No other plant, substance, drug, whatever, on planet earth comes close to marijuana in terms of being taken too seriously and being over-hyped.

I'm just glad the University Police saved us from these criminals...I mean they are so dangerous to society, god forbid that spend a night out of prison.

Seriously, this is so fricking dumb. This is worse then the BB Gun fiasco.

I don't condone that either. If you get caught you have consequences because it is illegal. As a commander in the USAF I had to apply that law and dole out punishment to guys who got caught. I personally believe the age should be 18, ESPECIALLY if you are deemed mature enough to sign your life away when you join the military. However, I was not allowed to pick and choose which laws I enforced based on how I felt about that law. It's still the law and there are consequences.

Considering it's still illegal and suffering patients can't use it in the south, I agree. The government needs to get over themselves. Its not worth the effort used to stop it.

So what law did Natrez and Roquan break? Plus there are many laws out there that are fricked up and people in positions of power should be able to use ethics and moral to override some of these antiquated laws.

Not to mention the more common laws like that of civil forfeiture, which the person can loose all their money/land/etc of being accused of something, when they never actually got arrested for such crimes. Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been stolen from the citizens by the police, but if you were in the police's position, you would justify it as well? I mean with our laws, we can't have any ethics or common sense when judging each individual case? Obviously the rich are exception to these rules, but laws are laws right?

Agree. This self-righteous piece of shite needs to be outed and publically shamed until he wants no part of being an RA ever again.

What years is this imbecile living in?

And isn't it time that UGA and Georgia stopped living in the past on this issue?

Gotta be Director of the FBI or USAG to do that.

Read your Orwell. The point of power is to have power. And the way to know that you have power is to inflict suffering. Unless those without power are suffering, you'll never know if they are obeying your will or simply following their own. Granted, 1984 wasn't supposed to be an instruction manual, but it kinda worked out that way.

That takes too much effort and is not what they'd do more than likely. How about not seek the high to begin with. GTFOH with that "I'm in pain from football so I need it" BS. They just want to get high... period. It is also glamorized. Just don't do it. Drink a beer or something else legal and don't jeopardize your scholly.
Or how about how cannabis is a medicine and has been shown to protect the brain and help regrow the brain cells after a concussion. But yeah it is bullshite that there are proven medicinal value to this plant, but hey lets keep punishing college students/adults who want to use a safe plant for medicine, compared to popping pills and drinking beer.

Alcohol is way worse for you than cannabis ever will be, and is one of the few drugs where you can die if you quit using it. But yea lets encourage our students to drink alcohol instead of a plant which is safer for you than water (fact).

Again the biggest reason for these students to use cannabis, is to help combat the negative health effects of playing a high impact sport like football. Again it is great for your brain, your body and mind. It protects against the damaging effects of concussions, can help against cancer, allows one to be more creative (helps on the football field) and again it has many more health benefits for your body. But hey lets deny our students all these benefits and just have them drink a neurotoxin in alcohol. :nana: :nana:

I'm enjoying my third cup of coffee this morning. I won't lie, as much as I like the taste, I drink it for the pick me up and the morning "buzz" it provides.

What's weird though, is that THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY I'VE EVER FELT COMPELLED TO TALK ABOUT IT.

My point is: How come there are no t-shirts in psychadelic neon colors about the "sweet bean". Why no songs and drum circles celebrating the mystic effects of the kind and sacred coffee bean. Why do coffee drinkers keep the same haircuts and bathe at the same intervals they did before they discovered the magic effects of the magic coffee bean??! Why isn't it considered hip and cool to be knowledgeable about the medicinal benefits of the sweet sacred bean?

In short, why does all that stupid lame gayness surround one drug and one drug only, marijuana?

Answer: Because of poser mongotards.

People go to bars.

People also go to McDonald's.

And some go to Jiffy Lube.

People go lots of places.

But, for normal functioning adults, drinking at a bar, or eating a Big Mac, or getting an over-priced oil-oil change is a small part of their day. And an even more miniscule part of their lives.

They don't feel compelled to define themselves by any of these activities. Or to come up with a gay codeword like "420" to unite in trendy cool dudery with others who define themselves by frivolous shite.

Only marijuana people do that. Because they're poser mongotards for the most part. Who take stupid frivolous things way to seriously.

You got the wine lovers, the scotch lovers, the iPa lovers, the weed lovers, the smoked meat lovers, the burger lovers, the football team lovers, the music lovers, the pizza lovers, the women lovers, the comic book lovers, among other lovers. Some brag about it, some wear shirts proving it, some you would never suspect, and some keep it quiet, but they all love it. Sheltered folk like you have a very narrow view on things in the real world, so you don't have a clue about any of that.
