The only issue I have with TOTY is it is usually a popularity contest and not score based/ performance based. My wife teaches 5th grade as well.

Read the thread... God bless all y'alls wives who have the patience of Job & the perseverance to put up with the bullshite they do from the parents & the school board cause of their passion to wanna teach these kids & try to make them productive citizens... Gotta seem like beating your head against a wall sometimes...
