Is he the greatest? I've always considered Montana to be because of his four for four superbowls but Manning is a surgeon and has ultimate dedication to his craft. These two and Marino are the only three in the discussion imo.

Marino. He had shite around him and was in the playoffs every year. That, and I'm a Dolphin fan.

You are from Georgia originally right? What made you a Dolphin fan? Your dad?

Manning had a run in Indianapolis where he was throwing to guys like Austin Collie, Anthony Gonzalez, and Jacob Tamme while they had zero running game, and had Tony Dungy (good coach but defensive minded) and Jim Caldwell (LOL) as his coaches. Montana had Jerry Rice, John Taylor, Dwight Clark, Roger Craig, etc... throughout his entire career, and Bill Walsh to build the offense. Switch skill players/coaches and is Montana still that good?

I would also throw Brady and Elway in this discussion.

Yeah. He was a huge Griese fan, and I grew up on Griese, Morris, Csonka, Kick, Duhie, etc.

South Georgia kid, miles from both Atlanta (who sucked) and Miami.

Saw Marino kick the shite out of FSU in a horrible storm in Doak Campbell in 82? I was an instant fan...

Yes...yes he did. But that was a talented Pitt team, and Herschel had a foot out the door.

My Father was born across the state line in Hamilton County, where my Grandfather owned a general store. He crossed the State line to play basketball in Echols County, and after two tours of Vietnam, settled in Lowndes.

Maybe that is why he was a Dolphin fan? Who knows. But down here, the Dolphins were on TV every Sunday, and I grew up watching them.

Also, the Dolphins used to play exhibition/preseason games in Jacksonville from time to time, and we'd drive over to watch.

Bandwagon? Nah. That'd be someone who has no connection. My connection was my father, and I suffered with the Dolphins and my allegiance never wavered.

That said, I do not watch pro ball any longer...

if you dig deep down inside your soul you will find the only reason you are a Dolphins fan is because the Falcons suck
