THANKLESSLY
You don't get paid? Seems like that should be thanks enough. Your family should be all the appreciation you need. Or do they show you any appreciation? Maybe you should take that up with them. I'm sure the people Memorial Day is meant to celebrate would contribute to making the economy tick if it weren't for that whole unfortunate death in the service of their country thing. I know it seems like a minor set back to a fine citizen like yourself but maybe one day you'll be able to forgive them. If not, I'm sure they don't give a frick.

Alabama had a song that thanked truck drivers and factory workers.

Maybe Jeffy should listen to it. Maybe his low self esteem will hit an all time high.

Yes, I get paid. By people that voluntarily open their wallets and choose to give me some of their money. As a government worker, I realize this type of natural and moral transaction is probably a foreign concept to you.
Anyway, look. By commandeering Memorial Day and changing it to "Tax Payer Appreciation Day", I'm still leaving you with all the other military holidays. There's like a hundred of them. Hell, i believe the entire month of May is military appreciation month or some bullshite. So, I think it's fair to say that you're being a little greedy and petulant about this whole thing.

You know what, you're right. I have it backwards. I'm no longer a soldier but I'm still a government employee so thank you Jeffy. I'm taking my son to Disney right now so please allow me to send a heart felt thank you for paying for our trip. As a matter of fact I may even buy him an overpriced toy with your money. I would send you a thank you card but I don't have much confidence in your rural post office. I mean...I'm personally spending your taxes today so your local post office is probably a dump.

Labor Day?

Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

I'm spending Jeffy's money that day too.

He's paying me to go to college. Which is ironic when you think about it.

The least you could do is show some appreciation. Jar head.

I sure am. I'll be done next fall. As long as the first part of the senior project doesn't conflict with the e-commerce class I have to take. Otherwise it'll be spring of 2018.

Good deal. Jeffy paid for my degree as well. Good man.

Yeah it's why I keep him around.

They've been showing it the last week or so. Has some great lines.

Labor Day
Ha! Naw. Labor Day is just an organized labor propaganda holiday created by the unions and the politicians beholden to them.
TPA Day is more about a day where the ticks pull their fangs out or the tapeworms crawl out of the a-hole to briefly thank the host for providing the blood supply and bodily fluids they live off of.

Actually, you should send your 'heart felt thank you' to the IRS, the politicians, and their armed goons. Because I wouldn't be paying for it if it weren't for the threat of being caged or getting a bullet in the head if I didn't.
