Did Richt say anything interesting at his press conference this morning. I just barely missed.

Nope. Typical coach speak. I guess it may be worth noting that he would say the leaders of the team that come to mind are Theus, Mitchell, Jenkins, Floyd, and Dominick Sanders

Dominick Sanders must just have five star work ethic and character like Chris Conley had. I mean its saying something if a sophomore is a leader on a championship contending team.

Just watched his ESPN2 interview and then you see the Malcolm Mitchell piece. Whatever this team has done to get most of the turd out of that locker room is great. We seem to really have a group of quality people wearing the red and black. IMO, the coaching staff doesn't get enough credit but you don't hear the question as to whether Richt and staff run a disciplined program or not anymore.

I am more excited to watch this team than most others because I think the leadership on this team might be reminiscent to the early 2000s. I don't have any insider or information to back that up, just an observation from public view.

I hate to keep putting things on Pruitt, but... I would wager that a big reason in the personality shift of the team from a bunch of boneheads to an academically successful, high character group is first and foremost RIcht's philosophy, but helped along by the fact that 1.) Pruitt doesn't seem to tolerate shite that distracts from playing effectively, and 2.) Pruitt and Co. are recruiting at a high enough level that we can afford to kick anyone off that steps out of line. In the past, we had to bite the bullet and hope they learned a lesson. Now, the lesson is simply a suspension shot across the bow with the promise that a second shot is inbound if you step out of line again.

There is certainly correlation to the fact that the culture has changed while Pruitt has been our DC. My personal opinion is in that we are holding kids accountable but also we are recruiting higher caliber people.

Something I'd really like to see us get better at is stopping attrition of our recruiting classes. This doesn't seem to be as big of an issue as it used to be but if you go back and look at the kids we signed and the ones who actually saw the field significantly, the numbers were large. If we had been able to keep all these kids we have recruited I don't think we'd have had as many issues with depth, talent differential, etc. but I think it all goes back into the character of the kid we are recruiting not so much the actual coaching of the kids or discipline policies.

I like Richt's buzz cut. High and tight.

I mean, richt said he brought in Pruitt because he wanted someone to come in and help him work on making changes so that's exactly right. Basically said he wanted to make changes and had ideas but he didn't really get to see what other schools were doing and he really wanted to know what successful teams were doing so that's what made Pruitt so important.

And fish fry is... two good seasons 08 and 14, and he's the King of Atlanta. Richt might have his flaws and all but he's our idiot and I can't stand to even look at that turkey necked motherfricking piece of shite you call a coach. I can't believe nobody shot his arse during GA turkey season. shite, you have an excuse to green jeans, he looks like a fricking turkey!

Richt's still 12-2 versus the Turds
