These KIDS bought into Richt and company. If they wanted to be alybama or uF or awburn, they'd have gone there. These kids are looking at him like a father figure. He may not have won a NC but he got many out of the streets and paid more than any of us. Richt loved UGA and the players loved him. I'm damn thankful for the times he gave us and can understand why those guys are pissy. Nobody wants to see this except tunnel vision fans.

...and he got paid more than any of us. So 15 years is not enough time for a coach that at least 3 or 4 times per year calls a timeout after a timeout? Two years in a row without a top QB to run an offense predicated on having a surgical QB. 9 quarters straight without a TD this year? 4th and a foot Saturday against a pathetic GT team on their 1 yard line and did not score? Did not score a TD against Central Florida in the 2010 bowl game? Unprepared for Boise the opening game the next year and embarrassed at the dome? Florida last year, Bama this year? Embarrassing! We digressed over the last ten years and I have tunnel vision? Wow!

No way. Not until the contract is signed, and they are ready for an announcement. He is probably reacting to the rumors/speculation that it will be Smart.
Don't get me wrong...it very well MIGHT be Smart, but they won't tell the players an hour or so before they have the press conference. If they told the players any earlier than that it would be all over the media.

I understand the players being upset. It's pretty natural for players to buy into their coach and not want a change. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the last piece of that though as to what constitutes a "tunnel vision fan".
