2 minutes was a long fight more like 20 seconds and $50 was a lot of money in 1985. 20in low def zennith with a special cable box for the shitty fight deal.

Amen brother.
I mean it was a good excuse for a party but by the time the fight actually came on it was such a letdown when he'd walk out and BAM...over....

Freaking ripoff.
no kidding.. i remember going to Georgia Theatre in '95 to watch Tyson/McNeeley fight... $30 cover (as you know, $30 was A LOT during college) and that SOB was over in less than 2 minutes.

Somebody on facebook said that you could view the fight for free at rojadirecta.com. Dunno if thats true or not.

If you want to fix this sport STOP guaranteeing payouts before the damn fight. If you had a 300 million "winner takes all" prize on the table, the fight would have been a blood bath. There's no incentive to take a beating in a guaranteed prize fight.

when professional sports went with the "entertainment" argument for more money, all pro sports in America changed.
