Maurice Smith spent some time at safety too.

Smith's use here reflects the depth we have in the secondary we've not had in a while.

That gets me thinking...

Does Mecole Hardman find any defensive playing time this season?

I think Mecole is going to bust heads out on the field this year. I don't have anything empirical to back it up. It's just a gut feeling.

I was thinking the same thing. CKS doesn't just sit back and let things happen without action. Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have ourselves a heck of a HC. No one has to agree with me, and we can wait until the EOS for varification. But that's my opinion.

I am starting to ride on that train, too. I must admit that I was on the Richt crowd and voiced my shite for too long on it, and I still have much respect for him and what he has done - after all, his record proves it. But, I am really liking what I am seeing in CKS.

There were also some comments on Rico McGraw looking at possible playing time at Safety if Smith took the nickel slot, so either way I think we've got the pieces to move around and make it work.

Yes. Probably pretty early too.

Our defensive backfield is the one thing I'm not worried about this year.

This is an interesting move. Guys has some wheels, and could be huge, especially on third downs.
