Is how well the defense has played this year overall. The offense has kept them on the field a ton and put them in some pretty shitty situations at times but as a unit we have a good looking group set up for next year and beyond and a ton of talented youth ready to step up and makes plays. I am a glass half full kind of person and I like to think we should be pretty damn good next year if the defense keeps improving.

And it always feels good to beat Tech.

Amen and amen

The self loathing crowd (along with the folks on here who find it wrong to mock Tech) won't enjoy the win but eight straight wins at the joke by Coke is awesome.

Our defense is legit.

Scary the amount of YOUNG talent we have coming back next year. Pruitt has built a top 5 defense and he's recruiting even better players for the future.

It's like dating a skinny hot gal with small tits... So, you buy her a nice set of tits and then she gains 100 lbs and quits showering. We can never have everything

I think facing the adversity they have and coming together and playing as well as they have will help them a lot going forward.

Regardless of the talent/production of certain players or fans' feelings on what should happen with the coaches, you have to be proud of the players for coming together when it would've been easy to just fold. Part of that credit goes to the coaches too. Even though these 4 games have been wins against teams we should've beaten on paper, there was a lot of adversity for 18-22 year olds to deal with.

It's not exactly hard to get excited about the direction of the defense.

ETA: but yea, people need to have realistic expectations next season. A freshman QB along with the uncertainty regarding Chubb early on will be enough to give us some struggles. And that's with or without Richt.

Career passing leader in SEC history? Todd Grantham.

#1 pick, one of the best RB in the country, top 10 draft pick at WR? Willie Martinez and injuries.

So now were at the point where Eason comes in and blows up but Pruitt takes Bama DC position when Kirby heads to Columbia.

Ho fricking hum, WAUGA

Not lost in the shuffle with me. Pruitt and the D have been the only good thing to come out this fricking dreadful season.

Not really,

It stunk when it faced winning teams who mattered. It's not statistically better than Granthams and didn't win the big games his did in getting to face the SEC championship game now did it?

If Grantham had been given the support promised like a real S&C program and the additional staffing support who knows what he could have done here...

Stop being clowns to a failed regime.

I really hope we don't lose Pruitt, because we have a chance to have an amazing defense next year.

Loved our defense this year. And next year I would bet Lambert plays more than Eason early in the season. I bet we get him a possession or two a game early and build from there.

Why didn't we go after Chad Kelly if we were so terrible at QB?

Off the field issues. He would have been kicked off the team, in all likelihood, had he got in a fight while at UGA

I guess Kelly is one of the few who didn't screw up his second chance, that is if Ole Miss hasn't covered anything up.
