....I haven't really watched AU much outside of the Jacksonville State game (lol) but it seems like they have really improved offensively mostly by establishing their run game with Robinson (I think that's his name) and getting Lawson back has sparked their defense as of late.

For those that have paid more attention to AU this season, what else should we be looking for? Has Jeremy Johnson finally gotten it together? How do you see our run game matching up with their front 7?

Ultimately, I think this game comes down to turnovers and us finding some consistency on offense to get points on the board early. We figured out how to stop that offense last year so it will be interesting to see how Malzahn adjusts on Saturday. This game is at 11 CT so I don't think the atmosphere will be all that intimidating.

Prediction: 24-21 UGA, but I think this game could go either way with the score likely being in the 20s

Thoughts and predictions welcomed.

All aboard the Gus Bus!

I've kinda had that negadawg feeling lately too but I got an odd feeling this morning that we might pull this one out. If this were a night game, a beatdown by AU would be much more possible.

You mean they played good in their last game against an overrated TAMU team? As of late, they gave up 81 combined points to the two opponents before that...

True for any game, between any two teams that are on par with each other...

The line is -1 and O/U is 48...bold prediction

UGA - 30
Aub - 13

Auburn has a depleted defense and their secondary is suspect. Its a game we could actually see Lambert throwing the ball well again (ala USCjr). They miss a lot of open field tackles and that bodes well for our quick hits to IM and TG. We will also employ the wilddawg throughout the game, which should help keep them honest on the interior.

Our defense is one of the best in the SEC and should have another great performance, especially with the offense actually being able to move the ball. Don't expect Auburn to run 90+ plays this week like UT and UF did to us.

J.Johnson has shown he can NOT do anything with the ball when under any type of pressure. I foresee 84 with 2-3 sacks and 2-3 additional tackles for loss. We will be pinning our ears back off the edges to stop the run and force pressure on the pass. Watch for some safety blitzes too. JJ cant read a defense very well and will confuse the shite out of him.

I don't see AU scoring 20 points. Our defense will keep us in this game. Now if only the offense can not turn the ball over and put up a few TD's we can win. The offense will be the deciding factor this Saturday.

I guess I should add something somewhat objective. I have faith in our D. It's the O like you said Sammich. If they leave the D on the field for 70% of the ballgame we get trucked.

Auburn is having a down year but they've been pretty competitive against the good teams they've played lately.

We win only if we can hold Auburn below 20 points. I think we can do it if we don't have more than 1 turnover between offense / special teams. Whether that actually happens or not, who really knows? One thing in our favor is that even with Lawson back, Auburn's defense still isn't that great. I think we'll be able to move the ball on them with our ground game.

It's two pretty evenly matched teams. Our defense is probably better but their offense is clicking and ours is not. I'm expecting a close fairly low scoring game maybe something like 27-24.

Side note: Auburn's special teams are better than ours and that might well be the difference in this game. Their FG kicker, Daniel Carlson, has won the Lou Groza award 2 times this season. LINK Meanwhile, Morgan has been rather inconsistent. Our kick coverage has been pretty bad as well and you know this are rough when a backup QB is doing the punting.

Statistically Auburns defense is the worse we will play all season...which means we should be able to score some....and our defense ain't bad so we should keep the. From scoring a bunch....Inthink we win. Close one like 23-20 or something.....this is what a 9 win season looks like with our schedule...

That's kind of how I expect things to go, too. I think our D plays great for 3 quarters but gets gassed from being on the field too long and being left out to dry by our shitty offense. We lose a low-scoring game, Auburn scoring around 20.
