These idiots from Atlanta keep on being idiots. 6 arrests between 3 of them in one offseason.

Well, if there was any doubt that he was gonna still play te fest game after the MIP charges were dismissed...

Personally I wouldn't kick him off the team. I would make him get some help. Or maybe he just needs a change of scenery. The kid is 19 years old hopefully he gets his act together.

Kid needs help but part of that may mean getting him out of Athens and away from all of the bars. Plus a message needs to be sent that if you frick up, you can and will be replaced

Maybe y'all can win 4 games this year?

It doesn't look good but it is hard to say what will happen. On the positive side it's not a felony or serious crime but on the negative side it is his second brush with the law in a relatively short period of time. Historically players with DUI's have not fared well in terms of staying on a team and are going to get a suspension at the minimum although you have to look at all the circumstances. LINK LINK
It is worth noting that during Smart's tenure at Alabama Saban didn't dismiss Geno Smith in spite of him receiving a second DUI during his time there.
LINK
Of course he was an upperclassman and standout for them with the incidents years apart but the point is another chance isn't totally out of the question, difficult though it may be. At some point dismissal from the team has to be one of those consequences for breaking the law and school policy.
If it can be worked out for him to stay on the team maybe DUI court could be part of the answer to his problem. These speciality courts are good at providing tools for those with addictions; of course it is up to the offender to make the best use of those tools. LINK

A 1 or 2 game suspension would be ok with me. But Kirby needs to make it clear to him that this is strike 1, and 3 strikes and he's out. Make him run steps until he pukes, then tell him to run them again after cleaning it up.

I totally do not condone drunk driving, but it sounds like he's made some stupid decisions that are not uncommon to college kids. He hasn't been popped with crack or beat his girlfriend or stolen something. Am I missing the picture here, because I don't think this is dismissal level yet?

It reflects a complete disregard and disrespect for others (particularly his coaches and teammates that need him to be available on the DL). If this were a first time offense, that's one thing. But in the context of this being a second alcohol-related offense this year (and with the first likely being wiped away on a technicality) and already seeing Rivers and Clay be kicked off for repeat offenses, it's incredibly stupid and incredibly immature behavior out of a sophomore player that knew he was going to be relied on to play meaningful minutes this year at the DE position. I think Kirby would be well within his rights to kick him off; better to set the tone with discipline now than have to deal with this shite in the midst of a championship-caliber season in two or three years.

Personally I don't think it's dismissal time either. Drunk driver is a terrible decision but its not the end of the world.

Do you think it would be dismissal time and not the end of the world if the drunk s.o.b. ran a red light or stop sign, ect, and killed on of your kids, or someone you knew?
Boot his arse and set the tone now
