UGA got tagged with one last season. I'm not sure who against but I remember it being at a very costly moment. Michigan State just climbed over the line jumping horizontally to block the kick.

Is this not a penalty?

You can't jump over anyone or use someone as a catapult.

I thought it was something like you can jump up but not land on another player? I know LSU did it once when AU missed the game winning XP and they got another chance and made it.

More confusing was the "Stomping" penalty against vandy last year, some white special teams linebacker for UGA on 4th down when vandy was punting, stupid call gave them a first down. It was a dead ball foul.

I've never had that one explained to me.

You can't push off one of your players to jump higher, and you can't run up and jump from your side of the line of scrimmage and land on an opposing team player.

Stomping was on Sailors against UT.

the leaping penalty came against Auburn in the first half last year when the Auburn guy actually blocked low and upended the GA player.

A player cannot use a teammate to assist in jumping. A player cannot jump into the air and land on an opposing player
