Lambert will be good enough

There is a lot that one can say about Mark Richt that isn't exactly positive but the one thing the man knows is quarterbacks.....we have never had better QB's at UGA than we have had with Richt at the wheel. If Richt sees more in Lambert than the other candidates for the job then I for one think we have the right person for the job.
In my opinion Richt is as good at developing QB's as he is at making boneheaded calls and failing to prepare a talented team for big games. He is VERY good (consitent) at the last two and IMHO just as good in the first area....

Thanks for your opinion Mr. Oliver.

In addition to that, Chuck summed it best when he said that Richt's worst qb at UGA was Joe Cox, who wasn't that bad, so he must be pretty good at picking QB's.
He said JT didn't count.... as he wasn't a planned starter as Chuck put it.

Please stick to your 1960's angry old hippie politics.

He sure wasn't very good

Actually, considering the OL, the lack of running game, and the not great defense on that team, Cox really wasn't that bad. Can you imagine what Hutson Mason would have looked like that year? To be honest, Mason is who I would put at the bottom of the Richt list of starting QBs, if one assumes the same premise that JTIII somehow doesn't count. Does anyone else remember the horrorshow that was the 2005 Cocktail Party? Just a pitiful excuse for SEC offensive football in that game.

This may be the most true thing I've ever heard about CMR.
But he's turning the corner. He's becoming a different kind of leader.
And he's gifted for it. Watch. A new leader is emerging in CMR.

You're right, no one ever talks about it nationally but Richt is arguably the best QB coach in the Country. Two heisman winners, a number one overall pick, and the two most successful QB's in SEC history in terms of statistics. That's what Richt has seen, so I trust his opinion on QB's more than anything else.
Something in me says Lambert will falter a bit, and Richt is hoping this lights a fire in Ramsey's belly. The kid will somehow turn over a new leaf and it'll all click for him and we can look like we did with Murray at the helm, throwing the ball all over the place like in 2013.

That is true GD. I frequently fume at MR due to the other issues you list and more, but I don't think there can be much debate on your statement above.

Urban Meyer
But Richt is way up there no doubt

Don't know about that.CMR recruited Lambert pretty damn hard in HS and after he left UVA.
I believe he's always like his game.

2013? Murray's good year was 2012.

It was still a total abomination of offensive football.
