Will the Eason fanboys who berated anybody that questioned their "insider" info about Eason being the starter apologize now???

So basically the last week of immerse JE with the 1s was to get him ready just in case or is this a head fake to force the Tarheels to prep for JE and short notice have to pivot to prep for GL? With our receiver corps vs. their secondary, does it matter?
I wonder if JE stubbed his toe a little, so-to-speak, this week and CKS maybe got cold feet?

I think fans were way overanalyzing this. Eason was with the 1st team because he was auditioning for the 1st team- simple as that. Not some super secret mind frick, because that would be pointless, stupid, and a waste of valuable practice time. Lambert and Eason both played with the 1's, Lambert won out and will start week 1. Simple as that. Nothing more, nothing less.

I think it's a combination of Eason trying out and getting him prepared for game time. I'm sure he will get some meaningful snaps.

Yeah, my guess is Eason will have a couple scripted series. He needed reps with the 1s for that to happen.

Eason will definitely get some snaps; I'm not insinuating that Lambert is the starter for the rest of the year. I'm just saying that people who thought there was some serious psychological warfare against UNC going on are dumb.

Why would you give up a whole week of practicing and prep just for an audition. I know Chaney and our offensive staff is better than schotty and I hope they work some magic with Lambert but he was bad last season. We all know the struggles so I'm not rehashing that but he better look stronger as a QB cuz I don't think Lambert can score with UNC.

Yeah Kirby isn't going to waste valuable practice time just to mess with the media/fans. JE should play in this game and needed time with the ones, but they wanted game week reps to go to Lambert.

To find out which QB is really the best option to start week 1, obviously.
Let's turn that around- why would you give up a whole week of practicing and prep to for the sake of not letting the team you are playing know will start? I guarantee you that UNC prepped to the best of their ability either way. You aren't getting a huge advantage by withholding the starter's name, especially if it comes at the expense of practice and prep for your own team.

Media is only allowed out there for like 10 mins at the start...we didn't sacrifice anything.
Chizdik had to plan for a LOT more blitz packages for Eason to be in there. You can bet a LOT of money Chizik wanted Eason. No doubt about it

speaking of practice, did yall see about yesterday?
UGA told the media to be at the fields at whatever time for their open viewing session. They got alerted 15 mintues beforehand there was a mixup on teh times and that session had already come and gone

I think it should come down to how the starter is performing. If Lambert is out there moving the offense well, then I really don't want anything to mess that up. Don't pull him and mess up his rhythm. If he's struggling, let Eason get his snaps. I hate a 2 QB system.

I for one am glad Lambert is starting. I've said all along he gives us the best chance to beat UNC.
